I think it was quite a spurious argument they were making- RV said she'd been forced by her ex to say it and had apologised to PA years ago so it sounds like there was some kind of coercion involved and she had put it right with him years ago. I saw an article for a magazine he writes for and he made quite a breezy comment so doesn't seem too bothered. It's a bit unedifying thst it's been unearthed now he's got teenagers but it sounds like there was more to her saying it so he perhaps doesn't feel humiliated as such.

His response video says he’s been waiting 15 years for her to say something?

Whatever you have to say about the guy, one thing is for sure - Peter Andre Really Loves His Kids.

Like most people then. Hardly deserves a mention when it’s the norm for parents to really love their kids. Why do celeb men that have behaved badly in the past get a pat on the head for this? It’s bullshit.

I don't think he's loving this at all. I think he's tried to brush it off with good humour but this latest mention has been a step too far. He has teenage children, ffs, who must be mortified, although to be fair they must be used to it, having Katie Price for a mother.
He split up with her 15 years ago and has grown up hugely and moved on from his persona in those days. He is now married to a lovely woman and is raising 4 children, attempting to protect the elder two from the fallout from their mother's antics.

Because it’s Rooneys lawyers that have used this quote as evidence that Vardy is a nasty piece of work ….I just think it is really awful to belittle someone who has absolutely no relevance to this case !

It's an old quote from back in the day when he was everywhere and his main "thing" was how much he loves his kids. He managed to wedge it in to any interview or minor TV appearance.

It was so commonplace on Mumsnet that it became an silly acronym at one point PARLHK.

I really don't think you can use his behaviour 15-20 years ago as reason for implying he deserves this.
He gradually realised (way too late, in my opinion) just who/what he was married to and had the good sense to get out. He's still suffering the fallout to this day.
Rebekah Vardy is coming across as a deeply unpleasant person. She was bang out of line to have made the public slur in the first place, and the lawyers are bang out of line in bringing it up all these years later.
He is entitled to be livid about it, although he appears to be taking a dignified stance.
