About the hell that is periods getting closer together

Periods always been regularish, used to be every 31 days or so, more recently been more like 28/29... Until the last two which were 21 days and 19 days apart respectively. Feels like I barely got a week off between them!

Is this some kind of perimenopausal thing? I'm early 40s. Do I need to get checked out?

Yep. 47, used to have a regular 27 day cycle, now anywhere between 17 and 72 days. I am in my first month of HRT, I am hoping for a regular short period again. We'll see 🤞

I'm 43 and my periods used to be every 28 days exactly, normal flow. For the last few years they were averaging every 23 days and last month it was 20 day cycle 😭. I was also getting a lot of migraines. I used to be on cerazette which was amazing - no periods or side effects. Quick Google said the lack of progesterone (cerazette mini pill is progesterone pill) is the start of peri menopause so I started taking it again this week.
