To ask for ways to make money quickly any amount?

Fuckingausterity · 15/04/2022 22:31

I know this is done to death.
I’m not asking for people to give me money or anything.
But who has made money online quickly before?

I’ve 3 children. I work FT but the energy crisis is scaring me.
I have £19 to last me seven days. Food, gas, electric, everything.
I’m so stressed out.
I know people use sites for surveys ect. Any that pay out quickly?
What do people recommend?

Only fans not an option, I don’t have the body!

As other pp have said Prolific is great, but there is a waiting list to get accepted at present so no good for money right now.

Qmee is as dull as ditchwater but instant cash outs. I made a few hundred in a few months on that but I can't stand to do any more of their surveys.

itrytomakemyway · 18/04/2022 17:10

One more - intellizoom which is website testing ($8) and card sorting ($5). the problem with ths one is it takes 3 - 4 weeks to get paid, but they email you when surveys are available so you are not constantly having to click on it like you have to for Prolific and Qmee.

I make a steady £15 ish a week with them.

What marketable skills do you have, and would you have the time to work (remotely) a few extra hours using them? It won't get you as quick of a result, but may give you a continuing additional income over time.

Hey. I’ve just downloaded a banking app from my friends referral link. It’s called Chase banking. When you sign up with someone’s link you get an instant £20 and they also get £20. It’s recommended by Martin Lewis if you have a nosey you can see it online. You can refer up to 20 people and get £400. I’ve transferred mine to my bank instantly. If you want my referral link let me know!

I'm not sure if there's still a waiting list for Prolific but you can get a decent amount there. I did a study this morning for £4.50, took 10 minutes, paid and cashed out when I checked again at lunch.

Can you ask relatives for money? If my children, nieces, cousins children etc were in this situation I would gladly pay for a weeks shopping. I couldn’t in all conscience be planning my next holiday if someone I knew personally didn’t have money for food.

VampireAtt1re · 06/07/2022 08:36

Look on money saving expert website
Some banks were giving £150 if you changed to a certain bank

Olio & Too Good To Go food waste apps for cheap or free food

Use Co op, Tresco, Nectar points & vouchers

Look to see if your employer offers any discount schemes or point schemes

CoffeeLover90 · 06/07/2022 09:17

As you're on pay as you go meters please check with your supplier of they do fuel vouchers. You can get up to £49 on each meter and you don't pay it back. That would at least free up the rest of your money for food.
Paying direct debit is always cheaper as the daily standing charge is much higher on pay as you go. Might be worth looking into.
I'm sorry I've no quick money making ideas that haven't already been mentioned but I sympathise having been in your shoes more times than I can count.

@Fuckingausterity
how are things?

ThreeblackCats · 02/02/2023 07:41

I second Vinted.

Remember it’s not just clothes, outgrown toys, handbags, jewellery, anything Disney brand, even utensils. Basically anything still in it wrapper/tags is great, so even new make up pallets will sell.

Price low and it will go.

Switch bank accounts under switching scheme to get a bonus.

TheAustralian · 02/02/2023 09:44

What about house cleaning. You would have cleaning products already. Advertise on fb, gumtree, your local area by letterbox dropping,
look to see what others charge then charge a little cheaper

been where you are. Best of luck

ThreeblackCats · 02/02/2023 10:31

Alternatively, Ziffit is an app that you sell books on. You scan the books and they offer a price.
Handy if you have any old books you’ll never re read.

Downside is they don’t always offer much, but I suppose you could visit a used book store or charity shop and scan them to see if there are any bargains you could buy.

It’s a good way to declutter.

ZOMBIE THREAD!

BisolaTosin · 31/03/2023 14:13

I'm sorry to hear that you're going through a tough time financially. Sites that offer surveys or pay for small tasks, like Swagbucks or Amazon Mechanical Turk can be an excellent place to start, but the pay is usually relatively low. Also, consider selling items you no longer need or offering services like pet-sitting or babysitting to earn extra cash. Another option is to learn the audible income process. I hope some of the ideas are helpful to you. Let us know how it goes!
