To ask for ways to make money quickly any amount?

I know this is done to death.
I’m not asking for people to give me money or anything.
But who has made money online quickly before?

I’ve 3 children. I work FT but the energy crisis is scaring me.
I have £19 to last me seven days. Food, gas, electric, everything.
I’m so stressed out.
I know people use sites for surveys ect. Any that pay out quickly?
What do people recommend?

Only fans not an option, I don’t have the body!

Try the £10 a day thread over on money matters, a couple of years ago I was making 1000-1500 a month from the stuff on there on top of my day job so it can be really worthwhile and more than £10 a day. It may take a while to come through like a wage but would help you longer term. It’s all basic stuff that can be done evenings/weekends/whenever you have spare time. I only stopped because my other self employed work picked back up and I no longer have time.

Fiveletters · 16/04/2022 10:18

@Fuckingausterity

I got most of the offers from “research opinions”

Mreggsworth · 16/04/2022 10:33

Are you any good with design / structuring things.

Some people sell downloadable products on etsy, things like meal planners, budgeting tables, mood trackers, day planners, shopping lists, prompt sheets, essay templates, colouring in sheets, etc.

Not a big earner but I've known some people to get a few quid steadily trickling in from it.

(Downside is the time and I think there's a small fee for uploading it into etsy)

ShanghaiDiva · 16/04/2022 10:38

For matched betting you will need some cash to start, so probably not an option for you at the moment.
Do you have a community fridge/larder in your area? We have one in the cafe where I volunteer and you take what you need, no referral needed.

TerraNovaTwo · 16/04/2022 10:50

What are your monthly outgoings and income? Where do you shop? Do you have any direct debits you could cancel? Any household items you could sell?

£19 is doable for food for a week, but not if that includes school lunches and other bills.

TerraNovaTwo · 16/04/2022 10:54

@Fuckingausterity

Just catching up. Were on an electric/gas meter so it will run out at random when the moneys gone. I’m sure this has been stressful for so many the last few weeks. We have most things turned off but it’s still costing about £4-£5 per day. I’ve registered with swag bucks and olio. Love this place sometimes
The £4 - 5 per day is just for the standing charge. These energy execs must be raking it in.
TerraNovaTwo · 16/04/2022 10:55

Sorry, not just standing charge but it inflates the cost.

Lex345 · 16/04/2022 11:35

OP it might be worth giving your electricity/gas provider a call if you think it may run out before you have any more money-they may be able to extend your emergency credit/provide an emergency top up rather than let it go off. Loads of people will be in the same boat with the price rise. Olio is fab. With swagbucks, dont get disheartened if you get some knock backs on surveys-and if you do try any of the game offers nake sure they appear in your discover home as linked to swagbucks-it should show how many days you have left to reach whichever level. 100% worth doing these. So far I have done Las Vegas Slots (5000 sb) Pop Slots (3500sb) Pop Bingo (2000 sb) and Guru Shots (2000sb)-which has worked out at just under £100.
If you have any friends who arent signed up, refer them and you will get 10% of what they earn too :)

Just popping back to say thanks for all the replies. Its been a very stressful few days and I’m really grateful for it.

Has anyone ever given you any gift cards in the past few years that you've held on to as you don't shop there or something? You can trade those in online via sites which check the code still works and then people will buy them for just below the amount they're worth

Lex345 · 17/04/2022 16:33

Hope you are doing OK @Fuckingausterity

Ratatoo · 17/04/2022 16:42

I agree with joining the £10 a day threads

Flev · 17/04/2022 16:46

AttaPoll definitely worth a try - it comes in small bits but you can cash out to PayPal once you have at least £3 earned

Sell clothing on vinted

gingerhills · 17/04/2022 16:59

Please contact a food bank - you can get referrals via a local church but several of them allow self-referral now too. There is absolutely no shame in it. The cost of living shouldn't be so atrociously high that a FT worker can't feed her family. This isn't your fault. A food bank should give you cereal, pasta, rice, tea, coffee, tinned veg and fruit, biscuits etc - the long lasting basics so you can spend the money you have on necessary fresh stuff.

Meklk · 17/04/2022 17:26

Clean someones house/flat/shop. It's minimum £15/h in London, maybe other areas little bit less, but still more than £10/h.
I loooove to clean, if my health would be better, that's the easiest way to get some extra money. Plus usually you are able to choose time, so won't struggle with childcare.

Anotherselfemployedcleaner · 17/04/2022 17:53

I’ve earned money through all of these in the past. They won’t pay out fast enough to help with your immediate issue, but definitely worth taking the time to have a look at them - it’s completely free to join all/any of them.

So sorry you're in this position OP. A couple of things I do to help with additional income are:

Prolific (someone else mentioned upthread), is by far the best survey site I've ever come across. It's academic studies which pay well (by survey standards!) and you don't answer endless questions only to be screened out and paid nothing. I earn between £10-20 a week on it. However, the thing is, you have to be at your computer when a survey crops up and click on the link straight away. So it's difficult around FT work, but often there are studies early morning and evenings. You can cash out to paypal as soon as your account gets to £5 (though I think when you're new it may limit the number of cashouts per week at first or something).

Second best is ipsos i-say (it used to be great but is less good now), this doesn't pay in cash but you can exchange points for vouchers e.g. amazon, so it's a handy way to save for birthday / xmas.

I used to do swagbucks and you can make some money off it, but I found it really hard work to get much from it after a while, lots of endless surveys which would screen out / pay 10p after 40 minutes. I also used to do curious cat (mobile app) which would allow you to cash out at £1, not sure if it's still the case as I ended up frustrated with it after spending ages on surveys and then getting screened out at the end.

It might be worth looking into swapping your bank current account provider, MoneySavingExpert has a list of some at the moment that are offering £100-£150 for switches. It obviously wouldn't be instant though. In general there are some good tips on the website.

Sorry OP, none of it will make a massive difference I know.

ClareBlue · 17/04/2022 20:17

@Bbub

You need to spend money to make money in matched betting so I don't think it's right for the OP in this case. It is risk free if followed to the letter - mistakes can cost though.
And it exposes to continual betting sites and if you have any predisposition to addiction it will ruin you. It is also increasingly difficult to find the arbs and actually against most sites rules so they can, and do, with hold winnings which will cost more than you win. Avoid this suggestiion
Sofiegiraffe · 17/04/2022 20:20

I sold a few baby clothes on Vinted that no longer fit my DD and so far my balance is sitting at just under £20 for about 6 items. Not bad for stuff that would have just gathered dust in the spare room!

LJAKS · 17/04/2022 20:33

It's just paid surveys on an app but you can cash out any amount to PayPal straight away and it's really quick to accumulate. I made about £80 last month just while sitting in the car waiting to pick my dd up from various things, time I'd usually fritter away on social media so it's been great for me. Also use topcashback religiously but that only really works when you have money to spend in the first place!

Toddlerteaplease · 17/04/2022 20:36

Are you entitled to the council tax rebate? Should be getting it soon.

again2020 · 18/04/2022 10:05

Late to this but Curious Cat app. You need a PayPal account but can make £3 in a couple of hours with instant payout. £1 is the minium and very easy to get to.

Hope you are ok
