My washing line annoying neighbour

We have a new neighbour who has complained to me about my laundry hanging on the line ruining her view. It's just run of the mill laundry, no crutchless knickers or bondage gear, so not offensive. At first I ignored her, but she later told me she had photographed it and would complain to council.
I'm not the only neighbour she has complained to, another about his whistling, which is piercing her ears, having sensitive hearing and she asked another neighbour to keep his windows and doors closed whilst cooking as it made her nauseous.
It's not just humans she intolerant of, if a bird is singing, she will start growling to scare it away.
Before she moved here, we all just dodged along fine.
Is there any law against hanging washing? I'm not tumble drying our family's wash when not necessary.

If you make a note of the dates and times of the complaints your nieghbour has made about your washing or anything else, complain about her to the council.

They'll need the log and hopefully they can threaten her with an ASBO because you have every right to hang your washing on the line and she's an idiot.

Hope that helps, if you contact your local councillor, they may be able to escalate the complaint as this nieghbour is stepping way out of line.

Hope things improve.

If you register the complaint to the Local Council each time it happens you will have the upper hand if or when the situation escalates. However, as you own your property and may in the future decide to sell, these complaints will perhaps discourage purchasers.

If I worked for the council and someone sent me a picture of someone's clothes on a washing line I'd be too busy laughing then probably signpost her to social services incase she was having some sort of MH crisis!!

She sounds crazy!

Hang out as many sheets as you can to block her view!

Sounds as if the only place she will ever be happy is inside a casket🤷🏻‍♀️

I wouldn't be worried about it. Tell her to kick rocks unless she's paying your electric bill! No council on earth can even force you to not use your dryer line, again, unless they wanna pay your electric bill, and be responsible for your machines maintenance. I'd look into getting a privacy fence, that'll really improve her view. Ppl like that should have nothing but walls to stare at anyways! Can you imagine someone telling you not to whistle! 😂😩🤣 I'd of fallen over laughing. Literally.
