AIBU to think 🤮 about those horrid Brest milk Teddy Bear keepsakes?
What are they for? Who buys them?
I absolutely don't want to be accused of any type of -ism, but could people tell me if there is specific type of people who buys such things?

As I career towards my menopause, maybe I'll get some period blood made into a brooch. Or perhaps my dh could've had some semen made into cufflinks before his vasectomy.

@ArtVandalay Ooh this could be a nice little side hustle We all need to make some extra money with energy and fuel price rises and some people are daft enough to buy anything.

Just looked them up, they are quite pretty. We don't shy away from keeping/drinking the milk from other animals or making garments out of dead animals. Our £5 notes even contain animal parts. Each to their own.

Had to look up the bear. Wish I hadn’t. Who are they for? The mother? A keepsake for the baby? Yuuuuuck! This is screaming “Enmeshment, much???”

Oh yes, the ‘last of the sperm’ cufflinks would make a great present. Or, maybe a first period blood pendant? Or foreskin brooch for those that get circumcised? Latter to be turned into a Prince Albert piercing for the ultimate irony?

Babies drink breast milk. I drink cows’ milk. I wouldn’t make a teddy bear out of either of them. Similarly, while I will happily wear leather shoes, I would not preserve the memory of my dog by, say, making him into a hat.

Each to their own, of course. It’s not my thing - the notion makes me borderline queasy - but if people want stuff made out of their breast milk, then they should crack on; they’re not doing anyone else any harm.
