To think this guy is an arsehole after all?

An old flame I've known for years got in touch recently, talking lots.. all great.. then we had a date on the weekend which resulted in sex.

Not only did he fail to mention the fact he had a virus until after he kissed me, he is now ghosting me.

AIBU to think he's an arsehole or is that just my bruised ego and me feeling sorry for myself because all I got for my troubles is a damn bug Envy

It depends if the sex was good or not 😷

MadMadMadamMim · 30/03/2022 19:17

He's an arsehole. The quality of the sex is irrelevant. He's fucking rude and self centred.

Next.

thistimelastweek · 30/03/2022 19:21

If he's not an arsehole, what is he?

spotcheck · 30/03/2022 19:27

Hang on... You kissed him, he told you he had 'a virus' but you still shagged him?

What is the virus? COVID or HIV?

Merryoldgoat · 30/03/2022 19:28

What kind of virus? A cold? Herpes? HIV?

It’s a bit vague.

newrubylane · 30/03/2022 19:30

What do you get when you kiss a guy?
You get enough germs to catch pneumonia
After you do, he'll never phone ya
I'll never fall in love again

BruceAndNosh · 30/03/2022 19:32

Thanks Burt!
Ichangenames2often · 30/03/2022 19:40

He remarked that he's just getting over the flu (he calls every old cold virus and suchlike 'the flu' though)

Damn right Grin

I feel like texting him and saying thanks for the germs and subsequent ghosting, prick.

Not an STD no, and unlikely to be covid as I had that a few weeks ago so wouldn't get it again so soon.

Just a garden verity shitty virus that makes you feel like shit.

Melkam · 30/03/2022 19:51

but............was the sex good?.....lol

SickAndTiredAgain · 30/03/2022 19:52

You can’t have been that concerned about catching a virus if you kissed him, then he told you about the virus, and then you had sex with him.

He’s an arsehole for ghosting you.

Ichangenames2often · 30/03/2022 20:07

Meh the sex was OK, nothing special

He mentioned 'getting over the flu' after we kissed and had sex. He conveniently failed to mention it over dinner and drinks.

Would anybody say anything? I'm not bothered about seeing him again so the moral high ground can get tae fuck Smile

OP posts:
okayigetit · 30/03/2022 20:24

Honestly I would just ghost him right back.. you'll feel more annoyed if you send him a shitty message and he doesn't respond lol

Frigginintheriggin · 30/03/2022 20:27

Sorry but you really can get Covid again that quickly......

Ichangenames2often · 30/03/2022 20:35

@Frigginintheriggin

Sorry but you really can get Covid again that quickly......
Within 3 weeks?!

Surely the chance of that happening is exceptionally low..

I had it in 2020 then again recently

OP posts:
FluffyMcFluffFace · 30/03/2022 20:38

I know someone who had Covid twice, with only a week in between... So yes, you can get it again that quickly.

How do they know it was a new infection?
OP posts:
Ichangenames2often · 30/03/2022 20:49

More than one positive test for any variant of Covid-19 within a 90-day time period are considered to be part of the same case episode, and if you test positive a matter of weeks after first getting a positive test it is more likely this is from the residual effects of the initial infection.

What's the story with your arsehole guy?

There are far too many of these tosspots around.

The radio silence has got me wondering what on earth the problem is, is my arse too fat these days? Does my hair look shit? Does the increase from a size 10 to a generous 12 make me undesirable beyond a quick bump up.

Grrrrr.

I think I will block.

So basically he's getting over a cold I don't understand the drama about a cold you sound hardwork

A 'cold' to some can be weeks of feeling like total crap to others, I've just got rid of covid I'm run down enough as it is.

Not really anything to be gained by contacting him. But you do know now if you hear from him in the future what he's all about.
