I have had vaccines, we'll my whole family has except youngest ds who's 4 and to say the least he has coped considerably well having covid over the last few days! My other 3 children have been bed ridden through tiredness and temperatures and being sick, coughs etc, but are on the mend after 4days!

On the other hand me and dh have felt like shit!
We both have had continuous excruciating leg and back pain that won't go, chest pain, headache, even our eyeballs hurt, coughs, snotty noses, dizziness, unable to stand/walk, I have been sick numerous times!
We have literally been bed ridden the last 4 days and still don't feel like there's an end insight, I physically just don't feel any better and neither does dh!

I'm just glad my children are on the mend, but my point is we had covid last year before we had the vaccines and didn't feel as bad with it, and it's making me wonder whether anybody else has had the same with covid after having the vaccines?

Sorry for all the typos don't flame me I'm not well!🙂🤒

Me…. I was so ill almost called myself an ambulance!

Blueeyedgirl21 · 26/03/2022 09:52

Are you possibly suffering from a stomach bug or UTI as well as covid ? It’s quite possible to get another ‘thing’ with it. I had it before vaccines and had aches and fever, but felt well within two days, and then again over Christmas triple jabbed but 19 weeks pregnant. Felt better than I did with that bout think it was omicron and was just congested. I worked at home through it. My sister however had it at the same time and felt like you.

In general i don’t catch things though and have never for example had flu and only had antibiotics once for an ingrown toe so not sure if you’re more prone to bugs and things you may get it worse?

OrlandointheWilderness · 26/03/2022 09:52

Yes. I'm on day 13 from positive, triple vaccinated and 37. I've never felt so bloody ill.

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 26/03/2022 09:52

Yep me. Triple jabbed. Tested positive Tuesday. Have never felt so Ill before. It's actually a bit frightening. I'm 14 weeks pregnant so I guess that isn't helping but I honestly didn't think it would be this bad with the vaccine

FloraPostePosts · 26/03/2022 09:54

Yes, lots of people are this ill with it. The vaccines should, though, protect you from needing hospital treatment. That’s the medical definition of mild illness.

I’m so sorry you’re all suffering - hope you feel better soon.

LaurieFairyCake · 26/03/2022 09:54

Dh now has long Covid after being double vaxxed (he had his booster a few weeks after having Covid)

He had Delta and was really unwell

8 weeks later he got Omicron - a milder strain

He is still utterly exhausted and only able to work 2-3 hours a day and do a 20 minute walk

Before Covid he worked 15 hour days as a Deputy Head and ran 27 miles a week

OnceMoreWithoutFeeling · 26/03/2022 09:55

Are you saying you think the vaccines are making Covid worse?

birdladyfromhomealone · 26/03/2022 09:55

5 weeks on my very fit husband still sleeps very afternoon after very little exercise

Has pains in his chest back and stomach.
We are both triple vax
I had terrible conjunctivitis too

Notjustanymum · 26/03/2022 09:56

Day 6 for me, and I just keep reminding myself that if I feel this bad with 2 vaccines and a booster, I’d probably be dead without those (CEV)…

Wannakisstheteacher · 26/03/2022 09:56

Not me, but a triple vaccinated colleague, who already had it in November, is currently quite seriously unwell with it. BIL was hospitalised just before Christmas with breathing difficulties and he’d had 3 vaccinations too.

pastapestoparmesan · 26/03/2022 09:56

Nope, quite the opposite. 3 vaccines, covid has been like a bad cold. Haven’t had to stay in bed at all.

Stanleystuck · 26/03/2022 09:57

I'm triple vaccinated. My last dose was the end of November so maybe it is waning. I dont know. I am on day 6 and still feel rubbish. I think I do feel on the mend but it is brutal. Not just a cold at all for me

ManAlive24 · 26/03/2022 09:58

@OnceMoreWithoutFeeling

Are you saying you think the vaccines are making Covid worse?
No, she's saying she thought she would feel better than she does.

OP, I'm with you. I've avoided hospital but it's rotten!

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 26/03/2022 09:59

I was talking to someone yesterday who'd got Covid despite being triple vaccinated and was so only she had to take 4 weeks off sick. Even now, weeks later, she still suffers from shortness of breath.

Conversely, I had it very early on before vaccinations started, and found it barely worse than a bad cold.

The only difference we can think of is that she'd been working very long hours, and was probably quite run down.

WhatIsThisPlease · 26/03/2022 09:59

I've had it twice. Wasn't remotely ill first time when I was unvaccinated. Just lost taste and smell.

Now triple vaccinated and have it now. Have a really sore throat (really, really sore) and an annoying cough.

Okeydoky · 26/03/2022 09:59

It's more likely that your illness is different this time because it's a different variant rather than because you're vaccinated now.

upperdown · 26/03/2022 10:00

Yep, I felt the illest I've ever felt, the leg/buttock pains were horrendous. It took a good few weeks to get fully right, lots of rest and vitamins to help.

Puddinandpie · 26/03/2022 10:01

@OrlandointheWilderness that's what I'm worried about I'm only day 4 and feel like deaths door I'm not sure how much longer I can take!

@OnceMoreWithoutFeelingthats not what I'm saying I'm just interested to find out that it's not just me and dh that are super poorly!

Puddinandpie · 26/03/2022 10:07

@ManAlive24 exactly

OP posts:
Josephsrose · 26/03/2022 10:09

I had it before vaccinations, and became quite ill.
Had it three weeks ago and breezed through it.
Hope you feel better soon OP.

Rory1234 · 26/03/2022 10:11

I’m triple vaccinated and had covid in October and was really unwell for 10 days and it took 3 months for me to feel normal again. I had it again a couple of weeks ago and whilst I felt a bit crap it was miles better than the first time. I feel pretty normal again already.

bunfighters · 26/03/2022 10:15

Yup, I had it (double vaxxed, can't have another) and was ill enough to have call the paramedics at one point. Stayed out of hospital though and actually have felt great after the three weeks of being ill. I thought the vaccines did their job (just dreading getting it again now...)

LunaAndHerMoonDragons · 26/03/2022 10:16

Yes. Vaccinated, got sick from vaccine, got really sick booster, got COVID in during the time my immunity should have been high, was really sick, still recovering months later.
