Hermes is now Evri but are still useless

I am expecting a parcel. It hasn’t turned up. The tracking shows that it is in the care of “Evri” It appears that is actually Hermes who have changed their name but still provide the same shit service.

AIBU to assume a re-brand should shake up and improve the service?

Ah OK, I noticed the emails from 'evri' the other day when I received a parcel but didn't realise it was hermes in disguise 🤔

They rebranded a couple of weeks ago. Not sure why, if they're trying to pretend they're not Hermes writing 'Evri the new Hermes' on every parcel label is a bit of a give away.

Hermes are appalling. I won't use them...I don't care what they are called.

Just before the rebrand they Tweeted “a YouTube video about steps it was taking to improve the business, writing “we’re listening”. Replies were turned off!

Interesting... my tent is being delivered by them and I did wonder who they were.

I've been lucky I think. Had loads of parcels delivered by them and only ever had one go missing.

Got a parcel from them yesterday- driver didn’t bother to wait for me to open the door, just rang the doorbell, threw the parcel down and left. I got an Evri email immediately afterwards that is the only reason I found the parcel. Still totally shit service.

Plus ça change.... two days of fake non-attempted deliveries now.

I don't order from John Lewis anymore, or now Pets at Home, as they ppersist in using this BS company.

Fantastic care. For the past two weeks and counting. In a warehouse... somewhere.

God they’re shore, I use asos a lot for work and have premier memberships for the next day delivery, it’s pointless now, I’ve had multiple parcels take over a week since they started using ecru and have emailed asos to let them know I’ll stop using them if they insist on using this courier

there's a trustpilot page somewhere with dozens of whinges from me, and a gazillion tweets! I also used to email suppliers and telll them I'd not use them any more because Hermes were so unreliable.
However I think it does depend on the local driver - I'm not sure whether they have an employed or sub-contract model.
About 18months ago, new Hermes driver, and everything has been fine since. Similarly a friend who lives in a different area was really surprised when I launched on a hermes whinge because her Hermes drivee was fine.

Current ire for crappest local deliveries is UPS.

We had a fantastic Hermes delivery driver, friendly, punctual, and efficient - couldn’t fault her. However, she’s just stopped due to experiencing problems (not sure what).

I did womder why my mailbox was full of spam from Evri. Parcel was delivered to my DHs hands yesterday though, unusually, so maybe there is something in the improvements. He works downstairs in the dining room mere meters from the front door and has a bit of a challenge going to see if he can get to the door before Hermes pretned theres no one in and get back in their van milliseconds after ringing the doorbell. Tbf the amazon drivers are juts as bad. Someone needs to tell them much of their clientèle are now working from home and have doorbell cameras.

Still as shit as when they were called Hermes. Watched our delivery driver on my Ring camera, one quick knock, threw my package on the floor, took a picture and left. Good job there were no thieves about that day because my package sat there for nearly 4 hours on full view of anyone walking past the house. Gave them a bad review but not sure they actually care about their reviews anyway.

Have always found Hermes to be reliable but couldn't arrange a delivery on their new website. It logged me in but then when I tried to pay, kept requesting me to log in again, when I was already showing as logged in. Of course, there is no customer service, no way to speak to a thinking human being, only bots and no option to address technical issues, so I used the Post Office instead. £1.00 dearer but a price worth paying if it reduces the stress of using their crappy new site.

We must be one of the lucky ones we have a lovely delivery driver and never any problems.

Friend calls it MyHerpes
