Hermes is now Evri but are still useless

I am expecting a parcel. It hasn’t turned up. The tracking shows that it is in the care of “Evri” It appears that is actually Hermes who have changed their name but still provide the same shit service.

AIBU to assume a re-brand should shake up and improve the service?

I booked and expected them to pick up a parcel from
Home on Sunday and they didn't turn up

Must be very area dependent. Here Hermes/Evri are the best courier by far, the local delivery people are lovely, friendly and efficient. I’m always glad to see something I’ve ordered is coming by them rather than Citilink, FedEx or DHL all of whom are useless.

Hermes/Evri: you can't polish a turd.

In my area they are the second worst. The word is Yodel. It took them 7 weeks to find my flat. Which is facing a major road.

Our newest Hermes/Evri courier is a nice enough chap but not much use when my parcel has got lost before getting to him and customer services is non existent.

Hermes / Evri are brilliant where I live. No issues at all (I think it helps we have a porch they can leave stuff in though).

Royal Mail, on the other hand, are currently letting me down with an eBay parcel sent almost 2 weeks ago and no sign.

I think it depends on your area and local networks of drivers etc, I've never had a problem here.

Ah OK, I noticed the emails from 'evri' the other day when I received a parcel but didn't realise it was hermes in disguise 🤔

Never had any issues with Hermes, hopefully the new name won’t make any difference.

I love my Hermes delivery driver 😆 there not all bad.

We have never had a problem,lovely driver too.

yeah I ordered a next day parcel which came via Evri yesterday.

I mean it didn't come to me, obviously - I had to rely on the power of FB group / nice honest neighbour to locate it using their provided proof of delivery photograph, which of course was of someone else's garden.

Hermes (aka Evri) are more reliable than Royal Mail in my area.
