No one is even obliged to isolate so why we need a daily update on your isolation status, I’ll never know.

Sorry rant over, just sick of my SM being 50% LFT photos 😂

I only share LFs with work and my mum as they are the only people who I feel should see them! Basically work so they know I'm not skiving and Mum cos she always asks.

It does not need to go on social media.

You are supposed to isolate until 28 March I thought

I read this as "no one wants to see your duckling photos" and thought - no I really do! Disappointed there are no duckling here...

I'd love to see some duckling photos.

We’ve had lots of people off with Covid where I work. The group WhatsApp was full of lft pics last week! I assumed it was to prove that people aren’t just jumping on the bandwagon for a few days off!

I think it's just shorthand for "gah, I've got ducking (😉) covid". Picture says a thousand words and all. People don't really post on SM without a picture these days, so if they want to let everyone know that they're feeling rough, and are contagious, then I'm not sure what picture would be more appropriate 🤷‍♀️

They're probably looking for some comforting comments. Also if they're doing the sensible and and isolating then they've probably got a lot of spare time on their hands.

I currently have COVID and have not posted it on Facebook. I mean why would anyone but some people do like to overshare. My manager got proof of my positive PCR test as I am in Scotland so have to isolate so can't go to work. I feel fine and was actually out cutting my grass and potting plants in my very private and fully enclosed garden as it was a great day.

OP, why do you bother with social media? It's a waste of time for every conceivable reason.

Plus 'ducking' is very annoying.

That aside, I agree with you that I couldn't give a toss who has Covid and who hasn't. It is of precisely fuck all interest.

And the ones who test every day or even twice a day comparing the brightness of the line! Such a waste of money and the plastic . Gives me the rage.

It doesn't even prove anything, as the results would be easy to fake if you wanted to. It's like people are proud of themselves for having covid - we don't need to know these daily LFT results for the majority of people who have mild cold symptoms.

I am not maassively interested in LFT photos but they dont annoy me either.

People moaning about other peoples photos on social media is a bit weird though. Noones forcing you to follow them. Surely ypu just scroll past whatyoure not interested in
