Health visitor checking sleeping area?

I know it's normal for babies - to check for SIDS risks, but at the two year check? Never experienced that before! Is it just my area, NE England?

When you hear about things like toddlers strangled by the cord of a blind too close to their cot, you might wish their HV had been able to do a quick check.

Not normal here no. I went to the health clinic for 2 yr checks with mine.

Are you in a deprived area? I know some areas have concerns about children on low incomes having suitable beds....
