For someone who tweets his opinion on just about everything, the absence of any comment whatsoever speaks volumes. AIBU to suspect he doesn't want to upset his Russian friends and business interests? Or maybe he is just taking a holiday coinciding with the outbreak of war?

I hate this new phenomenon where everyone has to comment on everything. It’s particularly bad on Twitter and makes most people seem ridiculous with their hot takes.
Has Tony Blair tweeted anything? Or John Major? Or Theresa May?
Sometimes it’s best for ex PM’s to say nothing imo.

David Cameron is a twat. He fucked off after Brexit when we needed him to calm the nation and be a strong figure. He's a coward and I have no interest in his opinions on anything.

He probably knows no one cares what he thinks about a real crisis so is sensibly not tweeting anything about it.

He was interviewed on LBC by Andrew Marr last week about Ukraine.

But I thought I'd have a google and, contrary to assertion in OP, Cameron has been making condemnatory statements.

It's not his fault that the news don't report much on the views of those who have left office.

He tweeted recently about such matters as the bloody Sunday anniversary, the holocaust, Afghanistan atrocities. I find it odd that that he has said nothing.

He doesn’t owe anyone a tweet about anything. If he wants to comment, he will. Maybe he’s on a Twitter break. Maybe his account got locked and the password is AWOL. Maybe he’s on a yoga retreat and too busy namaste-ing.

He isn't on holiday. I saw him a couple of days ago.

He’s not been silent. He was all over the papers a few days ago calling for more refugees to be let in. A few weeks ago he was weighing in on the need for united force against Russia.

I dislike him too OP, but don’t lie about politicians on the internet. It’s a crappy way for democracy to go.

It's not a lie to notice that he tweets his opinions on current affairs but hasn't on the matter of Ukraine.
