A lovely sunny (still cold though) day here today, the blossom is starting to come out on some trees, the daffodils are waving in the breeze and we had new season Welsh lamb for lunch!
With all of the doom and gloom in the world I'm trying to focus on something positive for a few hours!

Nope not a chance yet. The weather always likes to trick us for a while before turning again then hitting spring. This is fools spring your feeling.

ParkheadParadise · 06/03/2022 15:32

Washing out on the line today. Hopefully more days like that to come.

GeneLovesJezebel · 06/03/2022 15:33

I’ve done some weeding !
Yes, definitely feels spring like.

ShineTogether · 06/03/2022 15:35

A few days ago the sun rose before I woke up for this first time this year. Lovely to wake up to daylight. Blossom buds are on the trees. Spring is coming (still a bit nippy though!)

😂 Meatfree household, I was nodding along whimsically about the signs of spring, then wham! Enjoy Flowers
QuieterMass · 06/03/2022 15:40

Yep, I've got hayfever.

DorothyZbornakIsAQueen · 06/03/2022 15:43

We moved house in the winter and the garden is something we need to get to grips with as yet. It was a well established garden, but it had been let go. So we thought we would see what it's like in spring.

Lo and behold, beautiful daffodils have sprouted! I'm so happy. Daffodils definitely mean spring!

I'm happy to be fooled today! I got married at the end of March and it snowed on my wedding day, we have had many anniversaries with snow on the ground. I'm very aware that things can change but the blossom and blue sky has lifted my spirits today.

My cars were frozen solid this morning - not too springlike.

Chasingsquirrels · 06/03/2022 16:00

Yesterday NO, it rained all day and was just miserable
Today YES 😊, blue skies, sun shining, I've been out in the garden most of the day tidying up, weeding etc. Flowers (daffodils, hellebores, primulas), buds and new shoots.

Forecast is nice for the week ahead, although still cold.

sleaf · 06/03/2022 16:03

Gloriously sunny but cold this afternoon. If there wasn't a northerly wind it would be quite pleasant. Lovely to see the mornings and evenings slowly getting lighter.

ringoutthebells · 06/03/2022 16:05

I did see a lot of gorgeous daffs out today! But was bloody freezing.

whoruntheworldgirls · 06/03/2022 16:05

8 degrees where i am but lovely and sunny all day, crocuses and daffodils waving about in the breeze, spring Grin

x2boys · 06/03/2022 16:12

I agree it does feel like we have turned a corner weather wise ,it feel like spring today ,but march can be deceptive!

DinosaurRenaissance · 06/03/2022 16:19

Agree that things certainly feel more spring-like. Narcissus in the garden, seed sowing to start properly now, more light in the mornings. Lovely.
I quite like the fickleness of March weather and actually associate snow more with spring than winter. But that's probably down to living in the south west.

DogsAndGin · 06/03/2022 16:38

Yes. I had hay fever for the first time yesterday. The joys of spring Daffodil

TimeSlipMushroom · 06/03/2022 16:42

"I had a newborn animal killed for my lunch". A joyous time of the year indeed

Readyforspring · 06/03/2022 16:44

My DH cooked a leg of lamb today and I felt like this. I think I am at the point if becoming veggie.

Not vegan. But I think I'd like to cut out meat. For various reasons.

ThisBloodyNoiseInMyHead · 06/03/2022 16:52

It's bloody cold where I live - washing on the line, but heating on as it's so cold in the house

ilovesooty · 06/03/2022 17:10

It's not very warm but it's certainly been nice and bright today. Not long till the clocks go forward.

RoastedFerret · 06/03/2022 17:12

It's been really lovely here for the past few days, I've gotten my garden all weeded and set up for Spring. I hate weeks and weeks without seeing blue sky so the past few days have been good for the soul!

Whatthechicken · 06/03/2022 17:14

Last year tricked us - and then we had frosts until late May (I lost my sweetcorn, tomatoes, cucumbers and courgettes and had to start again). I’m not being tricked again - just going to enjoy each day…it was glorious here today…but I’m not being tricked again.

To think that spring is in the air?
bettertocryinamercedes · 06/03/2022 17:17

Was cold here this morning but went for a sunny beach walk without a coat!!!

GuyFawkesDay · 06/03/2022 17:19

Set up my zippy greenhouse ready to get early seeds started but agree my dahlias got frosted in may last year and I will not be fooled again!!
