Ordering Foo Yung

Ordering a Chinese with friends. And they thought it was hilarious that I ordered Foo yung. Am I missing something, what's wrong with that?!! (I don't eat Chinese often)

I'm not a big fan of Chinese food. I'll always order foo yung, it's basically an omelette.

OP happens to be active on another board but I've never seen her be anything other than lovely.

I've never felt the need to intervene in people's snarky comments before but I think yours is one of the most unpleasant things I've seen here in a long time purely as it's so completely irrelevant to the subject and uncalled for.

Mushroom Foo Yung and boiled rice please. Yum! And probably chips as well.

I too am not a fan of spicy food. I enjoy the ambience if Chinese and Indian restaurants though, and always enjoy that as an evening out with friends.

I didn't even know Foo Yung existed, but if that's what you fancied more power to your elbow.

Maybe laugh at what they order?

Mmmm mushroom foo young, fried rice, chips and a carton of curry sauce. Me and my best mate used to order this after the pub to share!

It's the order at the Chinese takeaway for people who hate Chinese food. That's OK, not everyone likes all cuisines.

If you don't like Indian or Chinese food, you don't have to order it. There's no shame in it.

@SwissCheeseRentedChildren unfortunately I can't take credit for Cheddars name. She came with it and it suits her so well!

I order foo yung, it means I can enjoy a Chinese with friends when I don't like Chinese food in general.
