Haven't seen a thread on this so apologies if there already is one about this.

Yet another case of a poor little boy being killed by his mum's partner. I really don't understand how people end up in these situations but that's an innocent life lost at the hands of his careers. RIP poor boy💔

Absolutely awful, I saw on BBC news that she had also been violent. Think there were recordings??
I think I'm taking a break from reading the news, seems more bad after bad :(

Yes, she had.

Poor, poor little boy.

Rest in peace, Kyrell. I haven't been able to bring myself to read any of the news items about this, but on the radio news earlier they said his mother thought her partner might be cheating on her so she left her phone recording and it picked up assaults on her son, which she didn't delete, so they were used in evidence against the pair of them. The implication seemed to be that she did nothing about the violence inflicted on her baby/toddler, because all she was interested in was that he wasn't with another woman.

If I believed in hell, I'd be hoping they'd both rot there.

Sickening
Once again another baby abused and murdered by a "step parent"

Crookedman · 04/03/2022 18:03

It’s horrific, I just don’t understand how you can inflict this on a child or allow it to happen. It’s just evil and I don’t use that word a lot, there is something utterly irredeemably vile about a person who would abuse a baby. Just a horrendous and painful short life, the pictures of him smiling are heartbreaking.

EmergencyPoncho · 04/03/2022 18:06

Yes I've seen this too, was reading about it earlier. Horrific and indefensible. I'm not totally up to speed with the details, but were any other agencies involved?

Sportslady44 · 04/03/2022 18:07

Disgusting. Why are we churning out so many horrible people it's endless.

BulletTrain · 04/03/2022 18:07

Hopefully someone will drown him in a prison toilet.

BabyTurtIe · 04/03/2022 18:08

It said she had previously worked in children’s services 😒

TellMeMoreHellebore · 04/03/2022 18:29

state of the pair of them. vile creatures, hope prison gives them what they deserve..

Bryonny84 · 04/03/2022 18:31

Yet another child murdered by vile, evil parents. I guess lessons weren't learned then. Far too much of this going on. Sadly children have become disposable.

Patienceisntvirtuous · 04/03/2022 18:32

Just seen this on the news. I'm crying :( how can people do things like this

JolieJ · 04/03/2022 18:34

I read she worked for Croydon child services (social services?) which makes it so much worse. Both of them monsters and I hope they burn in hell

NotMaryWhitehouse · 04/03/2022 18:36

Well that's the million dollar question, isn't it? I don't have the answer, there are so many reasons (and no excuses) that these awful crimes happen.
BabyTurtIe · 04/03/2022 18:40

Yes children’s services will be social services and these are the people coming round to judge other parents. Mad 🤦🏻

deadlanguage · 04/03/2022 18:45

41 rib fractures, that poor poor innocent child. My heart breaks for him. The parents deserve to rot in jail. And she should certainly never work in child services again!

WulyJmpr · 04/03/2022 19:07

RIP beautiful boy you deserved a much better mother. Again another child killed after multiple referrals and hospital trips :(

Wheyprotcookie · 04/03/2022 19:52

She was in youth services I read. The ones who advise youngsters to stay out of drugs. When they were themselves abusing cannabis and the step dad was a convicted drug seller.

Why, why why is this country churning out so many child abusers? Social services again didn't do anything. They were called by passersby. The kid was in hospital. I'm disgusted. These horrors inflicted on innocent defenseless blameless little children... It is haunting me...

Bundlesofchocforme · 04/03/2022 20:00

So very very sad. A beautiful boy who deserved to live his life with hope and happiness. You won’t be forgotten.

yoyobaby · 04/03/2022 20:09

Yes this is what really stuck out to me tbh. I don't understand in what circumstances you can allow someone to harm your child and do nothing about it. How is that okay?! I read in reports that she was apparently controlled by her partner but sorry that's just not a good enough excuse

Wheyprotcookie · 04/03/2022 20:10

Actually bbc says youth service and guardian child services. It's unbelievable either way. So she was assessing child abuse cases?!!!

HardbackWriter · 04/03/2022 20:13

Depressing but predictable that this case seems to be getting much less coverage and public outrage than the recent, similarly horrific, cases involving white children.

ClariceQuiff · 04/03/2022 20:14

I was reading the BBC report earlier - heartbreaking. That poor little boy.

MichaelAndEagle · 04/03/2022 20:19

It doesn't say what she did in those services, may have been an admin role or something like that.

But, yes, another horrific case. Awful for the investigating team and jury to have to hear those recordings.
