Nerdle and Husband - should I LTB?

So we play wordle and nerdle every morning. Today I got nerdle in 3, my husband got it in 4 earlier than me. But couldn't work out how I went from line 2 to 3 and said I cheated 😱.

I didn't cheat, but AIBU to be furious and LTB over these outrageous accusations!

I got it in 4 but my 3rd guess was only incorrect by 2 digits and it was a 50:50 probability that I might have picked the right combo then. There's an element of luck with all of these. It's entirely possible to guess right on the first try sometimes

I got it in 4, but think it was unfair and should have got it in 3. But since your first row is a complete shot in the dark, I can't see how you can cheat.

You should have LTBed over him doing it earlier than you regardless of the cheating accusation. In a fair and equal relationship you would both do it at exactly the same time.

I play the every day and then Lewdle. Lewdle is SO bloody hard because a lot of the rude words are American.

I play the mini version, but somehow got it in two today 😊

I also like Mathler, where you have the answer you just need to work out how to get there.

I got it in 4.
First time playing so happy with that.

I don't understand the rules so that's me knackered.

@ThinWomansBrain - you can do previous Wordle puzzles which have been archived??? How do I find these please??? I’ve had a look again and can only see the current daily puzzle. I’ve been doing it about two weeks and I love it!

Thank you for introducing me to this, I hadn’t heard of it before.
I got it in 3. But from my starting line I should have got it in 2 if I wasn’t still half asleep and missed using a piece of info.

There is definitely some luck involved but you can significantly improve your odds with some careful mathematical reasoning.

This is my pattern for those who are interested. First line is a guess maximising the number of numeral used. Second line is based on reasoning as I now know the number of digits in the answer and some of the numerals involved/excluded, which lowered the number of possible correct solutions considerably.
But I stupidly missed out one of the purple known numerals I found in the first line, so when corrected that it line 3.

I got it in 3 too and I am terrible with numbers!

What does everyone do for their starting line tactic? I try to do a sum that has as many numbers as possible so 12+47=59 or something similar. But maybe I should be aiming to try and get more symbols in instead? I keep forgetting that if a number is green there might still be another one somewhere.
