Has anyone ever got their shopping for free at M&S with a Sparks card?

I’ve shopped at M&S loads (at least once a week) for six years and never got my shopping for free despite the till reminding me to use my Sparks card for a chance to get my shopping for free!

Has anyone got their shopping for free with Sparks?

No, but I was in waitrose and had forgotten my bank card/wallet. They insisted I had my shopping free(about £30). I was Shock

SocksAndTheCity · 29/01/2022 20:38

Never - they don't even send me Sparks offers any more, despite me shopping in there at least two or three times a week. I expect I don't spend enough to be of interest.

mogschristmascalamity · 29/01/2022 20:39

Husband was buying some flowers in waitrose and got them free.

N4ish · 29/01/2022 20:42

Never! Was just thinking about this today, asked the cashier in M&S and he assured me he’d seen lots of people win their shopping including one woman with a trolley worth £200. I’m still not convinced though to be honest.

Wildrobin · 29/01/2022 20:42

No. Does a Sparks Card have much point to it beyond this elusive chance to win free shopping? I tend to stick more to Tesco as their club card does actually help .

PermanentTemporary · 29/01/2022 20:46

I'm really reluctant to get my Sparks card out as my particular card is painfully difficult to scan on a self scanner for some reason. Also sometimes I am just buying a pint of milk (for the work fridge) and I would feel actively upset if I got that as my free shopping.

GrandDuchessRomanov · 29/01/2022 20:47

No but I have had some good sparks offers recently.

A free pair of knickers £4 and a bag of granola bars £2!

Hairbrush123 · 29/01/2022 20:47

I like Sparks because they tend to have some great offers for members only. I got 15% off bedding (I needed a summer duvet so it was perfect) but it isn’t as good as Nectar/Clubcard.

No, but I did get a free shopping bag once.

stillundecided · 29/01/2022 20:48

Yes! I got a £70 shop for free! I do a lot of food shopping there though!

LittleMissA · 29/01/2022 20:50

I got a pair of free knickers today tho as a sparks offer!

ATrifleofFun · 29/01/2022 20:50

They haven't sent me any offers since the Christmas avalanche of reduced gin snow globe vouchers. What I wouldn't do for some free Percy Pigs Sad

Cuppaand2biscuits · 29/01/2022 20:55

My friend got £150 shop for free during one of the lockdown's that was quite exciting!

gingerscot · 29/01/2022 21:01

No but I do get free stuff from time to time - it was a loaf from instore bakery this week

Bracketcomma · 29/01/2022 21:03

I wondered this too, no publicity so easy for them to fake.

Fedupsotired · 29/01/2022 21:04

Sparks is crap, just give the offers and stop asking us to choose them 🙄

Bracketcomma · 29/01/2022 21:05

Sparks is crap, I agree.

JasperTheHungry · 29/01/2022 21:06

Yes! And it was my Christmas food shop. I’m never usually that lucky.

flipflop76 · 29/01/2022 21:07

I was thinking the same thing today - never! Can't be arsed to scan it anymore as there seems no point.

user1471511336 · 29/01/2022 21:08

No! I don't even get decent Sparks offers.

SusannaQueen · 29/01/2022 21:10

I had the offer of a free bag of bakery treats today, but the store didn't have any of the about 6 options Angry I asked, but nothing else was offered. Never had my shop for free and rarely get the £5 of £50 in store, more likely to be £12 of £120, but I don't spend that much.

Has anyone got their shopping for free with Sparks?

Yes, but it was a very small shop comprising a couple of children's snacks from the food court. I normally go in and spend a fortune so I wasn't as grateful as I should have been.
DrManhattan · 29/01/2022 21:36

Nope. It's not the best loyalty card / scheme

ENoeuf · 29/01/2022 21:38

No its crap. The offers are really limited. I got some free Percy Pigs that’s about it really.
