Has anyone ever got their shopping for free at M&S with a Sparks card?

I’ve shopped at M&S loads (at least once a week) for six years and never got my shopping for free despite the till reminding me to use my Sparks card for a chance to get my shopping for free!

Has anyone got their shopping for free with Sparks?

I got a little set of 3 pairs of heart earrings I was really impressed with

They really need to improve their loyalty scheme. I tend to use Waitrose as I get a free newspaper when i spend £10 (seems to be most days 😳) and to me the little wins are more valuable than a very slim chance of a free shop

I've never won. I have put the card into my 'wallet' on my phone so it's less annoying than getting it out of my purse. I have a free bag of treats from the bakery this week-better than usual!

No, but I've just checked the app and my current offers are 20% off women's trousers, women's knitwear, women's socks and women's tops & t-shirts. Also a beauty box for a reduced price. I wish I'd thought to look this morning!

The lady in front of my mum did last month. She said she didn’t have much though which was a shame.

My offers are crap. % off kids jeans - mine are all teens. 20% off autograph knitwear. 15% bath towels.

How do you know if you have any offers?

I know someone who did - I haven’t but I always hope!

I wonder if it doesn’t activate if you have non-food items in your shopping, like socks etc?

No. But once I stained my blouse with a leaky tub of watermelon pieces while shopping in M&S.
I asked an assistant for a bit of tissue/roll to dry it off, and she escorted me to the customer service desk. The lady at the desk packed all my shopping for free, sent an assistant to get me a brand new blouse from the shop floor, and confirmed they would pay for my dry cleaning. I was extremely surprised and very grateful. The blouse was

Nope. I got a free hessian bag when they relaunched the card but that was about it. I get emails with % off clothes / food etc but it’s usually ‘spend £100 in the food section and get x % off’ type stuff. I rarely spend more than £20 at a time so such offers are useless.

Biggest pile of crap ever is a Sparkd card, it's so outdated, younger to the till and get told about what offers are on, usually for shite you don't need

Last week, I bought several pairs of trousers.

This week, I have a Sparks offer for 20% off trousers.

Yay.

My friend did. He was picking up stuff for some birthday drinks so had lots of fancy nibbles and bottles of fizz. He was SO happy!

@ATrifleofFun I actually had a free bag of Percys on my card today plus 20% off jeans which was a complete surprise as the offers have been utterly rubbish of late.

After the insult that was the offer of £10 off Gary Barlow tickets, I now have 20% off jeans, knitwear, tops, tshirts, and socks. That's a bit less offensive than Gazza.

Funny how no one ever comments on the John Lewis card. Possibly the most pointless, fake loyalty card ever.

I'd imagine far more people have an M&S card than a JL one.

No. They used to give 20% off certain things too but don't even seem to do that anymore.

@drpet49 definitely wasn’t bashing M&S! I love M&S - just wondered if anyone actually has got a free shop or was it just marketing.

I’ve had quite a few useful offers on my JL card - I redeemed the £15 off the other day and had lots of free goodies in the past.
