Is it fair to say that 36C, 34D, 32E, 30F bras are all pretty much the same size?

Just that really, I just did a bra calculator and I've put my measurements in. It says I would be a 34D, 32E or 30F
I also have a bra here which is 36C which fits well too.
What actual bra size do I go for?

36 inch band would fit a clothes size 18 or so. Which you are not, if your actual measurement is 30-31 inches.

You are wearing a bra which feels 'comfortable', but is giving you the same support as a vest.

It would be a good idea to go and get properly fitted at Bravissimo or John Lewis. NOT at M&S, as they fit bras incorrectly.

This. I wouldn't recommend M&S either. They've measured me incorrectly too. Would recommend John Lewis. Bra fitters are excellent in my local Ann Summers too.

You need the under bust measurement to give a starting point as its the difference between the under and over bust that gives the cup size

I have the under bust, which is 34.

For those with "back fat" lean forward when you put on your bra, then swoop & scoop the tissue into your bra cup.

I did this in my old M&S sized bra and looked ridiculous, it was spilling over the cup.

If a non-stretchy tape measure goes round you at 30" then in theory a a stretchy 30" bra band should, but not all bras are created equal. I ordered some from Boux Avenue, and at full stretch the band was about 27"

I've found Panache bras to be pretty TTS, Envy are my favourite

Just to update the thread as I've tried a few different bras and 32DD or 32E (depending on the style) fits me best.
I'm 30-31 inch round ribs but there is no way I could wear a 30 bra, it would be far too tight
Anyway time to get some new bras in my actual size now....
