Bubble bath doesn't bubble anymore

Is it just me? bubble bath just doesn't seem to bubble anymore? I remember when I used to make a 'beard' on the kids and it was huge. I have tried all different types, resorted back to Matey which used to be good, but nothing like it used to be. Disappointing to be honest. What's going on?

We like waitrose own bubble bath and happy with the bubbles. Unfragranced or grapefruit. I do slosh it about as I pour to create more.

My radox and Tesco own version of the same thing definitely does- often I have too many bubbles.

If you have an over bath shower, use that instead of the taps.

I suspect its the water type add some salt to your bath and see if that helps (Not masses but its used to soften water so might help)

I have had the exact same thought just this week. It's never bubbly. We live in a soft water area as a pp had posted about hard water, so it's not that here!

oh and the other tip - do wind the bobbin up under water - used to amuse my DD with that one when she was little

Another vote for the essential Waitrose range. I like Chamomile bubble bath.
A bargain at £1.20 for 750ml.

Imperial Leather still does, I get loads and live in a hard water area.

Maybe I need to give my bath a good scrub. We have had bath bombs in there so maybe its the oils

Agree with pp, we also use radox or Tesco own brand and get loads of bubbles and we’re in a hardish water area.

It could be reduced SLS or SLS free? This is a foaming agent in many bath products.
I can't use products with SLS due to psoriasis and add cocamidopropyl betaine to SLS-free shampoo to get a lather.

It'll be the bath - it needs a clean! Especially if you've been using oils or salts because they kill off foam

Ours is because of our pathetic quiet and gentle tap.

Fuck that, give me a thunder roar tap and I want BUBBLES.

Can't believe I have to do the Flanagan swish.
