Since been furload my DH spends his time either on computer or mobile fone. He doesn't seem interested in our two children. Even xmas day he got up then went back to bed after opening presents as he had hangover. Boxing day he stayed home while we went to my parents. I'm so fed up with this now. All he cares about is his computer. He seen a doctor but they say he's fine. What do I do?

What’s his excuse?

Why is he not being involved with the family?

BasketBlocks · 08/01/2022 20:44

You tell him how unhappy you are with the way he’s carrying on and that if it continues he’s jeopardising your relationship.

user1471442488 · 08/01/2022 20:45

Tell him to get his head out of his arse and act like a parent or he can leave? Why are you putting up with this?

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 08/01/2022 20:45

Ask him to move out to address his phone/pork addiction.

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 08/01/2022 20:46

Porn! Not pork

AnneLovesGilbert · 08/01/2022 20:46

How’s he still furloed?

LawnFever · 08/01/2022 20:48

When was he furloughed? Is he working again now? Is he depressed?

MaryAndGerryLivingInDerry · 08/01/2022 20:50

@TestingTestingWonTooFree

Ask him to move out to address his phone/pork addiction.
😂

Bacon is life!

Yarnivore · 08/01/2022 20:50

Didn't furlough end last September? Shouldn't he be working?

MaryAndGerryLivingInDerry · 08/01/2022 20:52

Has he been sacked and not told you? Furlough is over.

AlDanvers · 08/01/2022 20:56

Well something is going on.

The doctors will only say he is OM, if he goes in and isn't honest with them.

And yes, are you in the UK? How is he still furloughed?

If he isn't going to be a aren't or a time part of the family and isn't willing to look at improving, then I think its time to start planning a life without him

elelel · 08/01/2022 20:59

Tbh the doctor is probably saying he is ok because he is ok. He just sounds like he is being a lazy bastard and opting out. Or is he usually hands on?

VanLife · 08/01/2022 21:01

@TestingTestingWonTooFree

Ask him to move out to address his phone/pork addiction.
😂😂
GreenClock · 08/01/2022 21:01

He isn’t currently furloughed. You need to find out where his money, if he’s contributing any, is coming from.

Then, it’s ultimatum time. And if he doesn’t improve this grim behaviour, see a solicitor about divorcing.

Mollymopple · 08/01/2022 21:01

Switch off the WiFi! Then you need to give him a good talking to

Royalbloo · 08/01/2022 21:02

Leave? Sounds horrendous

arethereanyleftatall · 08/01/2022 21:03

So is he at least doing all the childcare that is required whilst you work?

needmoreshinys · 08/01/2022 21:32

I dont think his problem is the screen time, if he went back to bed with a hangover

falalalalalalablahblah · 08/01/2022 21:37

Leave him, he's a lazy wanker.

ChiefStockingStuffer · 08/01/2022 21:50

Furlough ended months ago.
He's not furloughed.
He's out of a job.
And leaving everything to you.

BooksAndGin · 08/01/2022 21:58

How can he be furloughed? It ended in the summer! Hmm
He has clearly lost his job and lying to you.

maddiemookins16mum · 08/01/2022 22:10

He’s got no job has he. Furlough ended weeks ago.

Forgothowmuchlhatehomeschoolin · 08/01/2022 22:15

Of course he is wrong.
Stop enabling this behaviour now !

theNumbersStation · 08/01/2022 22:16

He is at it.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 08/01/2022 22:18

He sounds depressed actually.
