My NDN drilling the adjoining wall to my bedroom (headboard side) at 8am this morning.

They’re 4 months and absolutely tiny compared to the big dog-no relation to him. Both boys.

I don’t know them, they moved in a couple of months ago and I haven’t even seen them. They have young kids who get up at 5:30 am which is difficult for them to control but drilling is totally within their control although they are renting so surprised they are even allowed to.

My neighbours let their 5 dogs shit and piss on one tiny enclosed bit of concrete..leave it for days then come out at the crack of dawn to power wash the shit away whilst loudly gagging for the whole event. Waking up to that is...indescribable..

I get up at 4:45 Monday to Friday so need an extra couple of hours on a weekend otherwise I’m exhausted. I would be devastated with an 8am wake up call.

I think there is a correlation with compulsive DIYers and lawn mower people that they are are also annoying early morning people too. I feel your pain.

We had one weekend where our top floor neighbour (male divorcee, 50 going on 21, reliving his bachelor years...) was making v loud and v long sex noises through wall (so long I assumed he was watching porn). Live and let live we thought....

This was followed the next night by a really loud "Back to the 80s" disco session. Until 1am. At which point I got dressed and rang on his doorbell - he cowered behind his curtain and refused to come and talk to me - but he did turn music off and has been like a church mouse since.

It was probably the sight of a deranged woman in wellies and a nightie at 1am with a murderous glint in her eye that did it...

Waking up before 11am isn't being an early riser.

I think before 9am is antisocial.

In the winter it starts getting dark by 4pm. It doesn't leave much time for DIY if it's almost lunchtime when you start.

They're all gorgeous! The big boy looks very pleased with himself and doesn't appear to mind sharing his bed at all.

Why on earth would it matter if it was dark outside for bedroom DIY? In fact it's dark at 8am - didn't stop the DIY'ers in the OP
