Is this typical of how he acts?

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 24/12/2021 20:31

Yeah, fuck off.

Pack up your stuff, presents, all of the Christmas food, etc and go to your sister’s.

Seriously.

Let him be in his mood.

Angelica122345 · 24/12/2021 20:32

He often gets moods , was pretty bad tonight

Tell him to fuck off OP. Like the other poster said, take the presents and food to your sister. It's Christmas Eve and your birthday! Happy birthday BTW Flowers

GrazingSheep · 24/12/2021 20:36

Have you children?

girlmom21 · 24/12/2021 20:36

Is it because you went out or some other reason? But yeah take him at his word. Twat.

Frlrlrubert · 24/12/2021 20:36

Does he often get in moods on special occasions or when you're having fun?

Tabbacus · 24/12/2021 20:37

Dh gets in a mood every Christmas eve, he has never told me to fuck off (you deserve better than someone who treats you like that), but he's oh so tired, can't possibly help tidy, put the presents out, help with dinner or anything else. The sighing drives me absolutely mad.

Ellie56 · 24/12/2021 20:37

Like pp said leave the knobhead to his moods and go to your sister's with all your presents and food.

Sundancerintherain · 24/12/2021 20:38

Leave if you can. This man resents your Birthday.

Holothane · 24/12/2021 20:38

You go I hope you’ve gone to your sisters.

Angelica122345 · 24/12/2021 20:38

Only went out for a couple of hours

Life is too short ... is this really how you want to spend it, tiptoeing it around a moody asshole?

Dita73 · 24/12/2021 20:41

Go back out again

RedpepperRisotto · 24/12/2021 20:41

My ex husband used to do this, a pro at the silent treatment. Now he's with someone very similar, I honestly don't know how they manage. I don't even know how 2 people both giving each other the silent treatment would even work 🤷‍♀️😂

TameDucksAtChatsworth · 24/12/2021 20:44

Do you feel cherished by this man?
Do you think that his happiness is important to you?
Does he make you laugh?
Is he a multi-millionaire?
Is his knob made of solid gold?

Unless you can answer YES to at least 2 of these things, give yourself the Christmas gift of getting rid of him.

TameDucksAtChatsworth · 24/12/2021 20:45

I mean of course, for number 2, is YOUR happiness important to HIM

Alfredsothermistress · 24/12/2021 20:55

Just ask him “what’s wrong with you?”

If he says nothing. Reply “well don’t tell me to fuck off then”

If he gets grumpy at that response, pack your bags, leave the bastard, serve divorce papers over new year, and celebrate with a glass of wine.

pictish · 24/12/2021 20:58

It’s your birthday and he’s pissed off because he knows it’s supposed to be about you. He’d rather ruin your day than make an effort for you. Brings the focus back on him where it belongs.
That’s what I think.

flashy44 · 24/12/2021 20:58

Happy Birthday.

Youdoyoutoday · 24/12/2021 21:04

Leave the bastard with jingle bells on!!

FangsForTheMemory · 24/12/2021 21:04

Since it's your birthday, why wasn't HE taking you out?

He sounds like a twat.

PurpleMauve · 24/12/2021 21:06

^This! 🤣

My ex used to find a way to ruin every single occasion. Notice the word ex

DrinkFeckArseBrick · 24/12/2021 21:15

That's not being in a mood. That's being really nasty. I'm in a mood today, I am absolutely knackered from work and trying to get organised and havent had enough fresh air or time to myself. I've been a little bit snappy. I'd never tell someone in my family to fuck off
