Drunk Driving

Katie Price has been given a suspended sentence after being caught, having taken drink and drugs, whilst banned from driving. Unbelievable and so very wrong.

OP posts:
Kinneddar · 15/12/2021 17:33

Absolutely unbelievable especially since its a pattern of behaviour for her. She's been disqualified numerous times and caught driving while disqualified several times. She clearly has no regards for the law

Cant help think your average person would be dealt with very differently

Perhaps a jail sentence might have been a good wake up call for her

Jagley · 15/12/2021 17:40

I'm appalled she wasn't jailed for this, what is the point of banning her from driving when she has already shown she doesn't pay attention to the bans? Is it going to take a serious injury or worse for her to be punished accordingly.

BakedTattie · 15/12/2021 17:41

Just shows having money gets you everything and anything

JayAlfredPrufrock · 15/12/2021 17:42

Shocking.

This x 100.

If that was me I'd have been handed my arse on a plate a long time ago.

GlitterSquid · 15/12/2021 17:48

I've read the Judge's response and it strikes me she (the Judge) had her hands tied by law although would have loved to have sent her down. In fact, she says as much.

It's an absolute piss take though. Unbelievable.

sweeneytoddsrazor · 15/12/2021 17:56

@BakedTattie

Not always. Tony Adams was jailed for crashing his car when he was over the limit

LittleRoundRobin · 15/12/2021 18:00

I was going to come on here and post about this exact same thing! I am SICK of this woman, and have been for years! The amount of things she gets away with is sickening. No way in HELL would any of us mere mortals have go away with the pitiful 'punishment' SHE has got away with. It makes me sick. Angry

Can't stand the woman. She should have got 6 months in jail MINIMUM!

Why? How?

Why and how was the judge unable to send this woman to jail? (Where she bloody deserved to go!)

RoseRedRoseBlue · 15/12/2021 18:54

The Judge was COMPLETELY able to sentence her to immediate custody, but chose not to.

JurgensCakeBabyJesus · 15/12/2021 19:22

A custodial sentence was within the sentencing guidelines for this offence, especially given the aggravating factors and that this is previous offence paralleling behaviour. Many many people in prisons have similar notifying factors; addictions, have lost their children (often to state care rather than wealthy fathers), mental health issues etc. Judges and magistrates still sent them to prison. I think the only thing that kept her out was Harvey, although isn't he in residential care most of the time now?

JurgensCakeBabyJesus · 15/12/2021 19:23

*mitigating not notifying (autocorrect)

Forion · 15/12/2021 19:39

There's someone out there who's going to be killed by this individual when the time comes for her to do it again. Sad to think about it really.

OneRuleForThem · 15/12/2021 19:41

Gosh why is everyone so determined for her to be punished for this? She has apologised and has seeked out help for herself. She didn’t kill anyone.

JayAlfredPrufrock · 15/12/2021 19:53

🙄 Are you serious?

KittenCatcher · 15/12/2021 19:54

Was it because she agreed to rehab at the very expensive priory. I thought Harvey Iived in residential care. There will be a next time where either she or an innocent person dies.

NationMcKinley · 15/12/2021 19:56

Are you being serious, @OneRuleForThem??

Yes I am
CallmeHendricksGingleBells · 15/12/2021 20:01

"Gosh why is everyone so determined for her to be punished for this?"

WTF? This is her 9th offence, I believe, and her 6th driving ban, several of which have been for drunk driving. You think she SHOULDN'T be punished?

Redglitter · 15/12/2021 20:01

Oh well she apologised. That's OK then

Thatll be a big comfort to the family of someone she injures or kills next time (and let's face it there will be a next time) she drives while drunk/drugged or disqualified

Samcro · 15/12/2021 20:02

He is at star college which is a term time residential college. So not actually residential care. The holidays are long.
CallmeHendricksGingleBells · 15/12/2021 20:04

No, Star has a range of programs. Some students remain there year-round.

supersonicginandtonic · 15/12/2021 20:12

@OneRuleForThem that's ok then is it? Should that rule stand for everybody that commits an offence then?

Maddymorphosis · 15/12/2021 20:13

I remember when Paris Hilton got about 3 weeks in jail for various DUIs.
I'm pretty certain that KP would be behind bars by now were she not famous
