Maybe I’m getting old and grumpy, but loads of adverts are annoying the hell out of me these days.

The Branston pickle one, with the voicemail from the mum (who sounds like she’s in her 70s) to her daughter who's just moved away:
“It’s only silly, but I know it’s your favourite”
Just winds me up and I’m not really sure why!

But how do I keep my mouth healthy??

I can't be the only one shouting "BY SHUTTING IT!!!!"

It may not be scientifically-proven to solve her problem, but it most definitely would solve mine!!!

The one with Stacey Dooley twirling around in some big pants and a very annoying voiceover saying thing like "She does Stacy... she does twirls... and coffee with the girls (cue her laughing with a huge drag queen)... she does her. I have NO idea what it's for 🤷🏼‍♀️

The viagra cartoon one with the couple in bed....makes my skin crawl it’s so creepy and patronising!

Any advert for baby products that’s narrated as if it’s directed at the baby.

All pampers ones are like this (“imagine how intensely baby feels everything in their world!” no, shan’t.) but it strays into other products too (“close with a click!” said with tinkly little laugh, “I make lots of noises when looking after Theodore…”)

I don’t know why it annoys me so much - I always want to shout at them that the baby can’t understand the advert so they might want to aim it at the adults instead?!

The one for Lindt chocolate where the woman takes a bite of the chocolate and her eyes kind of glaze over with pleasure, it’s been on for years and I’m so fed up of it.

Stacey Dooley hair dye one. Also any hair/beauty product where there’s a small note in the corner like ‘72% of 84 people agree’. It’s always a sum that does not work out to whole numbers.

Werthers! The “chef” caramel maker in his fancy outfit making the caramel in the shop! Totally ridiculous. The early iterations definitely implied that it was her favourite of all the caramel shops because the caramel man was giving her free candy or something.
