Eh? Confused

LeopardPrintTits · 11/12/2021 01:32

I don’t exactly think it’s surprising that people would rather have something for free than have to pay for it!

Yummypumpkin · 11/12/2021 01:32

Yes I think that is a reasonable conclusion to draw from the facts you state.

To be more sure you could repeat the exercise around 100 times and report back then with fuller data.

I don't think it takes an economics expert or a psychologist to solve this one.

Anordinarymum · 11/12/2021 01:58

I bought some peanuts for the birds today and the squirrel ate them

You need a sign saying “No Squirrels”.
Anordinarymum · 11/12/2021 02:09

I don't think they can read.

:)

vodkaredbullgirl · 11/12/2021 02:10

You pay peanuts and you get monkeys.

MaxiPaddy · 11/12/2021 02:14

Next time try doubling the price. That's bound to work.

SplodgeWaddler · 11/12/2021 02:15

Well I think we all just have too much stuff. There’s so much unnecessary crap in the shops and in our homes. So it’s just supply and demand I suppose.

crymeapuddle · 11/12/2021 02:26

So am I getting this right, the squirrels are taking them to buy monkeys?

RobertsRadio · 11/12/2021 02:26

@Anordinarymum

That's because you advertised them as "free", if you had advertised them at 1 pence per peanut you would have had no interest from the squirrels.
vodkaredbullgirl · 11/12/2021 02:31

Well the birds can't pay, as they don't have hands to pass the money to the monkeys.

VimFuego101 · 11/12/2021 02:33

I wouldn't trek out and faff around finding change to pick up two ornaments unless they were really special. I'd be more inclined to bother if it was a bigger bundle of items.

SimonedeBeauvoirscat · 11/12/2021 02:44

Are Christmas decs the new wine glasses? Did this involve a glue gun or other Hobbycraft supplies?

Well that's all we need, bloody monkeys in the garden. Do they eat peanuts as well
RobertsRadio · 11/12/2021 02:59

Well that's all we need, bloody monkeys in the garden. Do they eat peanuts as well. They do and they will leave banana skins and shit all over your garden.

TooBigForMyBoots · 11/12/2021 03:00

I can promise you that the last thing you need right now, is a monkey in the garden @Anordinarymum.
Yes, they eat peanuts. They're also loud, destructive, fighty, fast and they rob stuff.

Monkeys are not our friends.🙈🙉🙊
Squirrels aren't our friends either, but they're better than monkeys. And may be of help in the future.Xmas Wink

I love my local Facebook group for giving things away free- we give plenty and we have received plenty too. I’ve given away recently sat nav, double bed frame etc and from group got all baby clothes, baby bath, Moses basket etc.

I think if I was looking for Christmas decorations I’d happily pick up ASAP some for free from a group however even if they were inexpensive if I was going to pay I’d probably go to a shop and pick ones of my taste and preference for not much more.

Anordinarymum · 11/12/2021 03:11

Thank you. I appreciate the input and will monitor the situation. Now about these Christmas ornaments at 2 for £4. Do they come in a box?
