Grey's anatomy

I've never seen it before but someone recommended it to me. I've just watched the first episode and I literally hate this woman.

Of course she has a famous mother and a beautiful, big house and she's slept with the hot guy and she's the one who figured out what was wrong with that patient and knew the answer to that question when no one else did. She's little Miss Perfect. Then she tells her friend she'll let her go into the surgery, but totally goes back on that even though she slept with that surgeon and then her friend is the one to make the first move to apologise! Plus that simpering, sweet voice!

I'm assuming it's not going to grow on me...?

I hate Meredith but love greys anatomy. Depends if you can deal with her being a character you don't like. But it's a great show

I hated the first half of series 1, but got addicted after that.

I couldn't get on with the first two episodes because of her voice.

It changes. I went all the way up to season 11 finding it completely brilliant. After that, still pretty good, maybe around season 14 it gets a bit too real life, lol.

It's a good show but Meredith is annoying, boring and very very bland. I watch it in spite of her.

Everyone hates Meredith. Her character is just annoying.

Its good until Maggie Pierce arrives then its ok until BLM/covid. Then it all goes horribly wrong very rapidly. I can barely watch this season and I've watched from the start. The stories are weak and bitty and the cast is changing too frequently for you to care about the characters.

Ugh my daughters watch it. There's always someone having a massive overwrought meltdown and bawling. I can't stand it.

I have always loved GA and always will. Meredith is so unlikeable but do stick with it... I promise there are some brilliant moments and characters. Bailey is my favorite 🙌

I LOVE greys anatomy but I have hated Meredith Grey throughout hahaha I can not warm to her but the show gets just as much about the other characters and I am hooked

Hmm I love greys anatomy but do agree Meredith can be annoying - although being too perfect is not something that’s annoyed me about her, she’s pretty flawed.
The first maybe 10 or so seasons are good, then it goes downhill. I’m just committed to it now having watched it since I was a teenager so I’m sticking with it to the bitter end, but I’m not sure it’s something I’d recommend people start from the beginning now despite how good the first seasons were.

As a general rule though, if I’m unsure, I do tend to watch at least two episodes of an American show where they did a pilot and then it got picked up and they filmed the rest, as quite often there are changes.

what because they actually talk about and get upset about BLM repeatedly and how being black is a preexisting condition? oh well, too bad 🤷🏽‍♀️ they do it a lot on Station 19 too, sorry if it's black lives mattering is boring to you- not

I had to abandon it as a series despite many people recommending it. I agree, she's really annoying

Get a grip separatedmum. It is boring as fuck being hit over the head with social messaging in a way that is completely clunky and not in keeping with the brilliant delivery of earlier series. People are allowed to not like character development and miss the characters who have left and to think the remaining ones are dull as shit these days.

Meredith is the most unlikable character, the acting doesn't help. I think she was really badly cast!

You will form attachments to a lot of the other characters if you carry on watching though. I managed up until season 11 or 12 when one of the remaining big characters died (I won't say who!). It kind of went downhill from there for me but again that was down to Meredith story lines

I've just started watching too.

Now I'm wondering why I don't have a problem with her?

I think it's great and am pleased that there are so many episodes.

I’ve been an avid watcher since day 1 but yes, Meredith is annoying as fuck, Christina is the best character and series 18 is the worst thing I’ve watched recently.

I absolutely can’t give a shiny shite about any of these characters now, except for maybe Bailey. The plot lines are so weak it’s unbearable to sit through.

She only gets worse as the series go on I’m afraid, she really is the worst. The other characters kind of used to compensate for her all round self involved horribleness but as the show has gone on too many have left and the show has lost its humour.

I got into Greys late and loved it.
For anyone who likes Greys, The Resident on Disney+ is also a good watch! I think I like it just as much.

I feel that if there's a lockdown I can cope.
I watched all of Gilmore Girls in the first lockdown. Zillions of episodes too.
