To ask how you make your scrambled eggs?

I use a couple drops of milk, all purpose seasoning and black pepper. Mix it all together and put it in a pan then onto scrambling. My mum also does the same and I absolutely love it but wondered what other people did so I could try out some new ways of making scrambled egg?

Bit of a boring topic so posted here for traffic😂

Microwave for a quick hit, pan with double cream for something a bit nicer.

EerieSilence · 07/12/2021 12:53

Melt the butter, then pour in slight whisked eggs with salt, pepper and a splash of milk, add some grated cheese if we have one and cook on low heat, while stirring them frequently.
Add some red paprika at the end, it gives the eggs a very nice flavour.
Serve while they're still creamy and soft.

ParkheadParadise · 07/12/2021 12:54

I do the same as you maxbaby

DH makes it with butter and cream🤮

KatherineofGaunt · 07/12/2021 12:54

Frying pan, put a bit of butter in (not oil), then put egg in. Scramble gradually. Add a splash of milk. Scramble until done. Pour onto buttered toast. Delish!

fortifiedwithtea · 07/12/2021 12:55

Do it in the microwave. For every egg add 1 tablespoon milk, a knob of butter, salt and pepper.whisk together .
Microwave roughly one minute per egg depending how powerful your machine. Whisk with fork half way through if you remember, its not that vital if you forget.

Whisk again at end and serve

If you leave them to stand the eggs carry on cooking and become a solid lump so avoid that.

Result should be perfect scrambled eggs.

HalfShrunkMoreToGo · 07/12/2021 12:56

Basic scrambled egg I just whisk eggs with salt and pepper and cook in a pan with melted butter. No milk or cream just eggs.

I really like adding spring onions and chopped chilli for a spicier version too.

EvilRingahBitch · 07/12/2021 12:57

Whisk two eggs briskly in a soup bowl, add a thumb of butter, microwave for thirty seconds, stir, give it another thirty seconds, and another ten if necessary, add a drizzle of sriracha sauce, eat. Not a culinary triumph but hits the spot and minimises washing up.

My God I have to respond here as I feel hugely passionate about scrambled eggs ;-)

Melt a lot of butter in a frying pan.

Whisk the eggs with salt. Never pepper at this stage as it just produces really ugly grey looking scrambled eggs.

Never stop moving the egg around the pan while cooking it and cook it on a very low heat.

When it's hardened but still a bit runny turn off the heat as the heat of the pan will continue to cook it for a minute or so.

Then once it's served put on all the black pepper you like.

Chely · 07/12/2021 12:59

Butter in pan, whisked eggs (no milk, can't stand that) and mix so it doesn't stick but I like big chunks. Sprinkle with salt after cooking, I like hot sauce for dipping it in.

Brusca · 07/12/2021 12:59

Eggs, salt and pepper, cooked gently in butter, fold with a silicon spatula, until soft curdy sort of texture.

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 07/12/2021 12:59

It needs butter in as well as milk

maxbaby · 07/12/2021 12:59

The idea of making eggs with butter and and cream all sounds a bit too much for me😵‍💫 I'm personally not a cream lover so couldn't imagine chucking some cream in with eggs!

Salt & pepper isn't enough for me but I do like the idea of paprika though. Does anyone else use any other types of seasoning?

And serve with Worcestershire sauce

TurnUpTurnip · 07/12/2021 13:01

Hate it in the microwave, never tastes as good!

Exactly this

Scrambled eggs with cheese are amazing.

MenaiMna · 07/12/2021 13:08

Medium heat: teaspoon of (real) butter, dollop of milk in a non stick pan. When butter melted chick in some sea salt and crack in five medium free rangebeggs. When the white has only slightly set use a rubber spatula to very gently swirl in figure eight continuously avoid breaking the yolks. When the whites are done, turn down the heat and let the yolks break as you continue to stir...it will be soft, creamy and beautifully coloured. When yolks are at the solidity you desire take off the heat, grind fresh pepper and if you're fancy- snip some chives. Serves two.
Two things I would never do

  1. Beat the eggs before cooking
  2. Use a microwave
But go ahead and do those things if you light to eat rubbery foam mats.
hivemindneeded · 07/12/2021 13:10

Making for me: bit of milk, two eggs, salt and pepper, cook until scrambled.

Making for DS1: Huge lump of butter, melted, 3 eggs single cream, stir together until barely scrambled.

For lunch when WFH - chop up onion or spring onions and red pepper. Fry in a bit of butter, add eggs, herbs, garlic granules, mild chilli and grated cheese. Stir until scrambled.

On Christmas day: bit of butter, eggs, scramble with salt and pepper. Take mine out of pan, add loads of cream for everyone else, serve with smoked salmon and chopped fresh chives.

Indian scrambled eggs, when I have time at the weekend, with spices, chilli & tomatoes (I add mushrooms too) - mycookinggallery.blogspot.com/2017/06/scrambled-eggs-indian-style.html

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 07/12/2021 13:12

Butter, whisk eggs with salt and pepper and scramble, no milk EVER.

0palescent · 07/12/2021 13:19

Splash of milk (or cream if we have it) salt and pepper. Melt the butter, add eggs, lowest heat and stir almost continuously.

Okbye · 07/12/2021 13:24

Melt butter in pan. Whisk eggs (lightly) in bowl then add to hot pan and turn down heat. Move gently around pan until scrambled (must be careful to not overmix!) I add salt, pepper and garlic and onion granules and serve.

No milk or cream as not necessary ☺️

NightmareSlashDelightful · 07/12/2021 13:25

First off, you need good quality eggs. (Obviously free-range, but beyond that the best you can get.)

I tend to do it low and slow (i.e. hob temp set to a 3 or 4 out of 9)

Melt the butter, beat the eggs, season with a little salt.

Pour into pan once butter has melted, keep moving gently.

It can take 10 to 15 minutes to cook to a soft scramble but it tastes so good.

I never add milk or cream, personally.

FangsForTheMemory · 07/12/2021 13:26

Eggs and butter. Wooden spoon, non-stick pan. Salt and black pepper.

Do NOT put milk in, it makes them watery.
