Hello

In the work secret santa I’ve got someone I don’t know very well.

She’s in her 30s and has young children. I’m not sure whether she drinks.

The limit is £20.

Can anyone give me any ideas on what she might actually like / use ?

Thanks

Not a fucking candle, which most people will suggest! I really don’t see the point in them! 🤣

SENmummy73848 · 02/12/2021 22:43

Amazon voucher so she can treat herself to something?

I’d like a candle! Grin

Mug, scarf, fancy chocolate, nice pen and notebook, nail varnish, cook book

Anybody else thinking of Friday Night Dinner? 'Any females?' Grin

@Hdkatznahtw125sgh I mean the 'female' I have got the Secret Santa for is in her 30s!

Hdkatznahtw125sgh · 02/12/2021 22:52

Thanks for the useful suggestions so far

I’d call myself a female in my 20s

I included her age to help make the gift more relevant.

I’m not here for a fucking grammar / linguistic lecture. I’m a dyslexic with a degree.

You could get a flipping lovely candle for £20, just saying..... (I love smelly candles, my husband buys them for me Christmas, birthday and Easter!!).

Also for £20 you could buy some really nice body wash or handcream (molten brown or similar) which a lot of people would not buy for themselves (I would!)

Those are cliche presents, maybe, but they are good for someone you don't know really well.....

@Hdkatznahtw125sgh what about a nice Chilly's water bottle for her desk (I think they're about £19/20)

OhLordyWhatNow · 02/12/2021 22:56

Does she have pierced ears?

My secret Santa for a colleague who is same age as yours was some sterling silver ear studs. Star shaped so kind of Christmassy but wearable all year.

At least you didn't call her a GIRL @Hdkatznahtw125sgh Grin

You'd deserve a lynching then. A bloody lynching I say!!! Grin

Lyricallie · 02/12/2021 22:57

Do you have any ideas of the types of things she likes? Geeky, sporty, outdoorsy?

Also if your in your 20s that's not worlds apart. What type of things would you be pleased to get?

Does she like coffee? Tea? Consumables are always good.

Cute stationary for her desk if she works with you. Some nice things from paperchase?

NotPennysBoat · 02/12/2021 22:57

Disco light from Amazon

Oneliner · 02/12/2021 22:58

Nice idea too. Argos have some lovely sterling silver earrings for £8 to £12.

I did!!
LizzieMacQueen · 02/12/2021 23:00

Gloves, moleskin diary, wooden keyring.

Things I would avoid. Bayliss & Harding gift set -- lost count of how many times I've had these. And I think I'd avoid anything too personal like earrings.

Knickynackynoo · 02/12/2021 23:00

Neom have some nice sets for under £20 www.neomorganics.com/collections/stocking-fillers

FairFuming · 02/12/2021 23:00

I'd honestly say amazon voucher. It's uninspired but means I can get what I want. If you want an actual gift too then get her some fun socks or some sort of funny tat from.home bargains and a £15 voucher.
