Pls help: need my Covid cert urgently

Hi, I’m stranded at an airport and need the QR code but I just have the card. The app takes up to 24 hours. What can I do? Can someone help me please?

I don t know if the App you need is different to the Scottish one but I got my Covid certificate and QR code in about 15 minutes yesterday. Have you tried to sort the App?

No way around it I don't think.

Are you trying to leave UK? As far as I know, you have to have app or the letter from NHS. Can you change your flight for one tomorrow?

Also on my App there are two modes one is the QR code and the other, which it says is needed for travel, is just details of what vaccines I got when. This seems to suggest the QR code isn't needed when travelling. Where are you coming from/to? Is it an airline specific thing?

Your best bet is to try the app. It's usually quite quick but can take up to 24 hours.

A colleague was in the same position, I can't remember the exact timeframe, but his downloaded well within an hour.

Have you tried the app? Some people’s are there straight away. Otherwise no way round unfortunately, the paper service takes up yo 5 days so app is your best bet.

Also, if you don't know your NHS number, then check old emails with PCR\LFT results as they contain your NHS number.

If the OP doesn't already have the app, it will because you have to upload photo ID.

The APP doesn’t need 24 hours!! Log onto to the NHS app, register etc. It’s annoying but I did it on a train with poor signal recently

It sometimes does if you need to upload id and get it verified. Mine took around 16 hours.

@fakereview even though you have to upload photo ID it can still be quick. Mine was approved within minutes.

As other have said, start processing the app. You might be lucky.

What timescales do you have? I dont think you will get anything faster than 24 hrs other than possibly the app. Can you fly tomorrow?

yes but it needs to be verified as a pp said, it was a couple of hours when I did it.

Got it! Thanks so much. I will update later. Trying to leave Singapore. So many people turned away from the queue as they don’t have the right documentation.

I’m amazed so many people haven’t got the right documents. When I flew to Spain in November the airline emailed me multiple times in the run up to the trip to remind us to check we had all the documents we needed to travel and have us links to the relevant government pages. I really don’t understand how people aren’t checking what is needed!
