I don't usually have the chance to watch as I'm at work etc, but I'm watching today and can't believe they've given such a lot of airtime to an elderly woman and her much younger Egyptian husband and then there's Alison who seems lovely but has no business being on a sled with those 4 poor huskies struggling.

Really seems they scrape the barrel. Isn't it time to take it off air?

I've thought this for a while. It's all a bit same old same old. You could watch the same episode every day it's much the same.
Some of the presenters are that likeable (although I do like AH) and they have people on like the man with the biggest penis in the world just for shock factor.
It's particularly galling when you get PH, HW and Martin Lewis who are multi millionaires telling you how to save 50p on your weekly shop, but then watching it adds to their earnings so...

vodkaredbullgirl · 30/11/2021 12:15

Turn it over.

WildFlowerBees · 30/11/2021 12:19

@vodkaredbullgirl

Turn it over.

They’ve even got a feature now called ‘ Am I being unreasonable?’ Yes they are. I agree with you. I don’t watch it a lot but it does grate sometimes!

vodkaredbullgirl · 30/11/2021 12:34
Wink
TurnUpTurnip · 30/11/2021 12:37

I haven’t watched it in years, I agree with you though. It seemed really repetitive and I think it’s had it’s day, surprised it’s still on! ( Bring back Jeremy Kyle 😬)

Sparklesocks · 30/11/2021 12:52

I think their ratings are still quite high so it seems to be keeping its audience. It’s not my taste but I appreciate people like very light/fluffy programming in the morning.

I quite liked it in lockdown as it seemed like it served a nice purpose for people at home who couldn’t go out and see their families etc.

Akire · 30/11/2021 12:53

It’s least different rubbish everyday not repeats or a quiz show. Can’t stand it myself but better than rolling news channel

Beautiful3 · 30/11/2021 13:06

This is why my tv's switched off in the day time. Utter crap! We only have a TV because my husband likes to watch sky news! Honestly, if he weren't here and it broke, I'd never replace it.

ColintheCrow · 30/11/2021 13:14

I want Josie back as a permanent presenter, she was so good.

Fluffymule · 30/11/2021 13:15

The presenters are the problem for me.

I dislike Phillip Schofield intensely. Just something about him and the way he comes across - pompous, self-regarding, always a whiff of condescension.

No particular beef with Holly, I just find her uninteresting and bland, a bit shallow. Maybe she'd be more watchable with a different presenting partner.

It's all a bit repetitive and tired, but maybe that's also the appeal. It's TV you dont' actually have to engage your brain to consume. It's background noise as you do other things.

I do like Alison Hammond though, she seems to be the most down to earth and unpretentious of the lot of them. Doesn't take herself too seriously. Whereas I suspect Mr Schofield takes himself very seriously.

RubyTuesday70 · 30/11/2021 13:15

It's not my cup of tea...... It's just brainfluff but then so is most of ITV these days.

I rarely watch any mainstream TV these days.

jchocolate · 30/11/2021 13:16

I don't like watching it myself to be honest but each to their own. But then I have never been a fan of morning television in general and I am usually at work when This Morning is on.

authenticforgery · 30/11/2021 13:19

I don't understand who actually watches it regamularly. Like what is the target audience besides people who watch it when they're sick and sofabound? That and Loose Women. I'm baffled.

Theunamedcat · 30/11/2021 13:22

People turning on and do there housework its not like they actually watch it

Mamamia7962 · 30/11/2021 13:23

Haven't watched it for years, used to love it 20 odd years ago with Richard and Judy, Dr. Chris, Denise the agony aunt, and Paul O'Grady as Lily Savage used to make an appearance as well sometimes.

Gertie75 · 30/11/2021 13:28

I had it on as background tv for years at work but barely watch it now, there's so much time taken up with adverts, competitions and cooking.
I watch Jeremy Vine on Ch5 instead.

TakemedowntoPotatoCity · 30/11/2021 13:30

It's awful I agree
That and Loose Women serve as a reminder that I have no life and am at home watching shit during the day when I could be doing so many other things.

Winterfellismyhome · 30/11/2021 13:35

Its the tv equivalent of take a break magazine

MissPC · 30/11/2021 13:39

Haven’t watched it for years but got to admit that I’m intrigued about the older woman with the younger Egyptian husband, might look for it on catch up!

mrwalkensir · 30/11/2021 13:43

Steph's Packed Lunch has much more charm...

idontlikealdi · 30/11/2021 13:45

I have it on in the background when I'm working, cuts lighthearted fluff. Stephanie packed lunch in the other hand makes me cringe so I switch to radio then

idontlikealdi · 30/11/2021 13:46

That was grim
divface · 30/11/2021 13:46

Yes. Dreadfully out of touch

ItsRainingTacos · 30/11/2021 13:48

It's basically Women's Own and Chat magazine on screen. So you don't even have to waste brain cells reading that drivel.
