To tumble dry BAM bamboo socks?

Never heard of bamboo socks but various threads on MN have convinced me that my DH would like them (and just like that we are officially middle aged). I am planning to buy a 4 pack from BAM.

However, having just been without my tumble dryer for several months during a refurb, I will never (never ever never) again line dry socks or pants.

So:

YANBU - I have bamboo socks from BAM and tumble dry them all the time. They are fine.

YABU - If you tumble dry them then they will be ruined and you might as well set your money on fire.

I don’t tumble dry any socks as I find they shrink and then don’t fit growing feet. How do people tumble dry socks and not shrink them? Sorry not very helpful but I’d say don’t tumble dry

I tumble dry all my BAM socks. Haven't noticed any shrinkage.

Mine didn't shrink but the toe bits got fat

I tumble dry all socks with no problem, including my BAM socks which I have had for two years or so now.

I tumble dry BAM socks - they do take longer to dry than ordinary socks though. Haven't noticed them shrinking at all.

Have BAM socks. Started with the freebies and bought more. All go in the tumble dryer no problem. Agree with previous poster that they take longer to dry though.

My son has a few pairs and I tumble them- all fine and he has OCD and is VERY particular about socks!

Can I ask what the seams are like. I have s very fussy DP who hates most socks because of the toe seams being uncomfortable. These sound like a good Xmas present idea.

I tumble dry socks, including BAM socks. If anything, I'd say bamboo socks shrink less than cotton. We use a low heat so very slloowwww, maybe that stops them shrinking?

bam socks are amazing. they are the only socks I wear now! I dont tumble them though.

I wear bamboo socks from Boots and tumble dry them on low heat with polycottons. They've lasted years.

I tumble dry mine and they are fine. Wool though, no, so I don't buy them any more.

I do not own these socks but now I'm invested in investigating what they are ..

However.... If they are bamboo then I'm going to assume the issue with the tumble dryer is similar to that of cloth nappies and there is concern that the heat from the tumble dryer will hurt your bamboo fibers. Having said that... My coal fire dries all of bamboo inserts and 3 years in they're totally fine 🤔

I only have bamboo socks (although not BAM brand, I like Elle or Sock Shop ones).

I always tumble dry my socks along with everything else. I haven’t noticed any issues.

I love BAM socks.. They’re the only BAM stuff I can afford.

I sometimes tumble them, but mostly dry them on the airer.

I never tumble dry on hot though. I put everything on a mixed/gentle setting.

I love Bam socks. And do tumble dry them. They don’t shrink but as PP said the toes go a bit fat

YABU to use a tumble dryer at all due to energy use, so I hope it does shrink your socks, which is illogical but I am vindictive

I love my BAM socks, love that I’ve had 4 free pairs! Comfiest socks ever. Mine get tumbled on hot.
