Richard Madeley felt a bit ill and what did North Wales NHS say?
“We sent a paramedic in a rapid-response car and an emergency ambulance to the scene, and one patient was taken to hospital.”
Yet my friends 87 year old mum was left lying in the street for 5 hours with a fractured pelvis before an ambulance arrived.
It make me sick!

We don’t actually know what was wrong with him.

Mrsjayy · 25/11/2021 16:14

I'm sorry that happened to your friends mum it truly is terrible but you can't compare,it to him being "rich does your friends mum stay in the same area?

Areyou4real · 25/11/2021 16:15

@WandaVision2

Maybe not but he was collected immediately, seen immediately and is now home. My friends mum was lying in the freezing cold for hours at her age.

Well it does make you think doesn’t it? How did they find an ambulance so easily??

Not only an Ambulance but a fast response car as well. No queue of ambulances outside the hospital for this patient.

I don't think there is a rich person's ambulance service well not that I know of. Would you have preferred Richard to have suffered a bit more maybe died or something 🤔

Would you have liked an 87 year old to die from hyperthermia?

The hospital is only 5 minutes away, someone could have taken him in the car (although the speed they sent an ambulance it would not have been quicker)

Its nothing to do with being rich or poor. You are aware of how triage works arent you? Do you know what always wrong with him or his symptoms? Unfortunately am elderly person with a fractured pelvis isn't a prior over breathing or chest pains/ young child, etc

Lipsandlashes · 25/11/2021 16:22

It's not a race to the bottom though, is it?

ChuckMater · 25/11/2021 16:23

Excuse the typos, you get the idea..

Conversely where did op say that she wanted Richard Madely to die?!

Richard Madeley “I started to feel briefly unwell in the small hours of the morning and was taken to hospital as a precaution,” he said.

We don't know why he went, so can't speculate.

girlmom21 · 25/11/2021 16:24

They were probably much busier when she had her injury and her injury wasn't life threatening. For all we know he could have been having chest pains or something that could suggest a blood clot, heart attack, brain tumour.

If they're only 5 minutes from the hospital, surely by your logic someone could have just taken her in the car?

Wow

Amazing what we've been conditioned to accept.
Envy of the world, they said.

girlmom21 · 25/11/2021 16:25

Your thread title should be 'one rule for the Rich'. That would've won you some brownie points.

Lemonjiffy · 25/11/2021 16:26

A fractured pelvis in anyone let alone an elderly person is extremely serious. Of course it made a difference who the patient was and anyone denying that is being contrary for the sake of it.
