Posting for traffic sorry.

Just realised that we filled in the permission slips ages ago for the nasal spray yet nothing has been done about it. I know there have been issues with the roll out because of Covid vaccines etc and I'm just wondering what the picture is like elsewhere.

My Yr 7 had it last Monday.

stalkersaga · 22/11/2021 10:09

Yep. Both of mine had it about ten days ago, the older at school, I took the preschooler to the practice nurse for his.

BackInBlackAgain · 22/11/2021 10:09

My year 4 is having it on Friday, filled the permission slips in ages ago.

ShowOfHands · 22/11/2021 10:11

My oldest (y10) had it a fortnight ago but we had an email saying that they'd only done half of the y5s as they'd run out and needed to wait for more stock. That was a month ago and we've heard nothing since.

elliejjtiny · 22/11/2021 10:12

My dc all had it just before half term.

BurntO · 22/11/2021 10:13

Ours were done on the 18th nov. We filled in the forms in September

MLMshouldbeillegal · 22/11/2021 10:15

Nope.

We are in Scotland and were sent consent forms home around 15th August for flu nasal vaccinations and also a HPV vaccine for my 13 year old which should have been done last year.

He had the HPV in September. Still no sign of flu.

LittleOwl153 · 22/11/2021 10:15

Ours have been delayed yet again. I think the roll out in some areas is really slow this year as the covid vaccine is taking priority... but then the roll out of that seems really slow too!

We have had 2 cancelled covid dates, one Sept, one Oct, 1 cancelled flu in Nov at secondary, and 1 cancelled flu in Nov at primary.

ExplodingCarrots · 22/11/2021 10:15

Not done here either and we signed forms months ago . One of the school mums is a nurse and she said they're waaaay behind this year rolling them out in schools in my area. We wouldn't know anything if it wasn't for her though.

BareBelliedSneetch · 22/11/2021 10:16

Nope. Signed the forms ages ago. Not a mention of it since.

Sh05 · 22/11/2021 10:19

Same her, forms sent in September but not heard anything. DS at secondary just got a form on Friday, sent it back this morning so we will see. We are in Bolton

TheDeckchairGardener · 22/11/2021 10:19

My DS is due to have his on 13th December which I thought was a bit late. He had it sometime around October for the last 2 years. I just assumed that his school was last on ‘the round’ this time.🤷‍♀️

OnceBitten25 · 22/11/2021 10:20

DD had hers last week. I know the school team run the programme from October-December - perhaps ask your school when their scheduled date is?

TrueGrit54 · 22/11/2021 10:24

YR10 delayed due to supply problems, signed the forms weeks ago.

Silversun83 · 22/11/2021 10:26

Filled in the form ages ago, but got told a date (this week). They sent us a reminder last week that it would be this week. Last year DC had it beginning of December.

Not unusual to fill out the form in advance, and I guess like PP have said, it takes them a few months to get around all the schools.

Xiaoxiong · 22/11/2021 10:26

My kids had it last week at school - I checked when I did the permission and it was the second week of Sept! DH's school haven't done theirs yet and aren't expecting to until Dec I think.

chloworm · 22/11/2021 10:28

Year 8 had hers in school about a month ago but Year 6 not getting his until mid December, which is in my view far too late.

InTheLabyrinth · 22/11/2021 10:29

Secondary before half term.
Primary last week, unless you were the last 2 year groups scheduled to go in, in which case they ran out of time, and arent coming back to mop up.....

INeedtobealone · 22/11/2021 10:33

Year 1 Ds is meant to be having his 3rd December.

Angel2702 · 22/11/2021 10:47

Ours was due in September and cancelled, due in December now.

MrsMonkeyBear · 22/11/2021 10:49

4 year old had it a couple of weeks ago but my 7 year old still hasn't had hers

ShortDaze · 22/11/2021 10:49

Both done (primary and secondary) in London.

CoodleMoodle · 22/11/2021 10:49

3yo has already had his at the GP.

7yo hasn't had hers yet, supposed to be this month. I did ask her and she said "I don't know!" which is super helpful...

TwoleftUggs · 22/11/2021 10:49

They did flu 3 weeks before half term followed by Covid the week before half term. The HPV was quite delayed though.

BendingSpoons · 22/11/2021 10:50

2yo had it at the GP weeks ago. 5yo is due to have it on Thursday at school.
