Dating related. Sorry!

Been seeing a guy for a few weeks.
Good banter very charming.
Slept together a couple of times more recently.
All good.

Last night we arranged to meet up and for him to stay at my place. Childcare arranged my end.

Both out on drinks with respective friends prior (for an hour)

What happened is this:

I met him in a packed bar.
He had no friends with him. At all.
He was dancing with other women that were completely rough. I was stood in the corner. I'm very outgoing and no wallflower but I felt awkward as fuck.
I tried to dance with him and ya know join in with the vibe. No.
I tired to have a talk with him and get him home. No.

Obviously we had both had a drink but hen was utterly wasted.

What actually happened is that I gave up and left, he then sent me a load of messages saying I'm jealous and controlling, and mental.

I know I'm not being unreasonable.

I'm just so fucked off that anyone thinks it's ok to behave this way.

He has shown his true colours. Block and move on

MrsBudd · 21/11/2021 17:45

Bit harsh saying the others were completely rough Hmm

But yes. As PP said he's shown his true colours. Get rid!

dollyboots · 21/11/2021 17:45

You say, ‘Goodbye Fuckhead,’ because you’re worth more than this shit.

Jennalong · 21/11/2021 17:47

Block.

immersivereader · 21/11/2021 17:47

Move on.

Well done for seeing his true colours so early on, OP.

You deserve better.

Lucky escape for you

Iamthemaid · 21/11/2021 17:49

Lucky escape! What a nob. Have you heard from him today?

Iamthemaid · 21/11/2021 17:52

I wouldn't block today as I’d want to see what he has to say for himself.

TheCreamCaker · 21/11/2021 17:53

He sounds an arsehole. Cut your losses and get rid.

Smartiepants79 · 21/11/2021 17:54

Don’t call other women ‘rough’ just because they seem to be attracted to the same dickhead you were attracted to. It doesn’t reflect well on you.
He’s obviously not taking you seriously and is a bit of an idiot so time to get rid! Luckily you found this out now not months further down the line.

Tinacollada · 21/11/2021 18:00

I'm totally allowed to call other women "rough" because they were

I'd as soon call a rough bloke rough

Tinacollada · 21/11/2021 18:00

And clearly I just got rid of a rough one 😂

lynntheyresexpeople · 21/11/2021 18:03

Calling other women rough makes you sound awful though. You're only saying that because he was dancing with them and you're jealous. It doesn't paint you in a good light, they didn't know he had a girlfriend, unlikely he introduced himself as having one. Absolutely not their problem - your partner is the issue. Chuck that one back, and try again. Slating other women won't make you feel better about yourself in the long run.

Hankunamatata · 21/11/2021 18:04

A few weeks - you want someone who is into you and who wants to be all over you.

PinkiOcelot · 21/11/2021 18:04

Good that you’ve seen early on what he’s actually really like.

I don’t see the problem with calling other women rough. You can tell looking as far as I’m concerned.

I did not at any point suggest that I wanted him "all over me"

I merely expected him to spend his evening with me as arranged

FlowerArranger · 21/11/2021 18:09

@Tinacollada

Oh piss off. How is it being anti feminist of me, not being able to say someone of any gender is rough ?

Sounds to me you're bashing me

However, it might be better to focus on (and slate...) the behaviour, rather than the person.
Tinacollada · 21/11/2021 18:12

I didn't come here to ask your opinions on feminism.

Rather I got treated like shite by a "partner" that happened to be a bloke so ..... 😯

CouldThisReallyBe · 21/11/2021 18:14

Be glad that you learned about his true colours early. You've dodged a bullet!

Tinacollada · 21/11/2021 18:17

And for all those saying it's a terrible thing to describe a women as "rough", if my partner happened to be bi sexual and was dancing with a rough fella and ignoring me, I'd still be pissed off.

Thanks for reminding me there are worse problems than having a crap dating experience 😂
