Who even asked for this? Who thought this was a good idea? The reviews have been overwhelmingly negative from what I’ve seen.

I saw the main character in JoJo Rabbit and he was good in that. But this just looks plain awful though.

Me neither and I follow a few movie sites. It’s like the producers were so embarrassed they kept it on the down low.

They are always rubbish. The Karate kid is the worst of them, Will Smith spawn, Commie Chan and coat on coat off 🤮

Ooo I watched the trailer and it was too painful. Home alone 3 and 4 was bad enough but this...loved the child actor in Jojo rabbit but nope.

Home Alone 1 & 2 were absolutely fantastic films, there really was no reason to remake them. I’m gutted!

I certainly won’t be rushing in to watch this!!

I watched the remake of She's All That, which is called He's All That. I usually love a cheesy rom-com, but it really was dreadful and none of the plot made any sense. I actually laughed when he rode in on a horse at the end. It was ridiculous!

West side story was advertised at the pictures the other day : why do a remake of this ?
I don't understand why they can't come out with new ideas instead of rehashing old movies !

Home Alone 1&2 were perfect. There's no need for a remake.

The remake of Dune has excellent reviews. The previous version was dire.

I watched it yesterday and it was awful. Not just cheesy but bizarrely had some very strange and outdated stereotypes with a completely white cast except for the crazy Asian wife, black hustling funny guy estate agent etc.

It was also completely unclear why Aisling Bea and her child spoke with Home Counties accents whilst living in the mid-west and married to an American. Or were flying to Tokyo for Christmas.

By all means make a Christmas film but why not a new one, not a rehash of a much loved old one?

I saw a clip of the trailer on the Jonathan Ross show and thought it was a spoof. Didn't realise they'd actually made a movie?

Aisling Bea should be ashamed of herself. I adore the woman normally but this was a shocker!

I hope she said yes because she has a small relative she was trying to impress!

We watched home alone yesterday. Apart from marvelling at how different it would be now if my DS or his friend were left home alone and how we could just text each other, the film has not dated. It's a perfect Christmas film. No need to remake at all.

I think West Side Story is fair game: it's another attempt to make a film of a classic musical. Saying you should never make another film of it is like saying that Kenneth Branagh shouldn't have bothered "remaking" Olivier's Hamlet. Also Maria is one of the classic Latina roles in US culture and it seems fair to let a Latina actress have a crack at it.

Just watched the 2020 remake of A secret Garden. Changed the period to WW2 for no apparent reason, messed around with the plot for no obvious reason and introduced a dog. Noooo!

I have a family member who was part of the crew for that film.
