To think Ed Sheeran’s song “Shivers” is a rip off of “Movin too fast” by Artful Dodger and Romina Johnson?

Sorry if I’m out of the loop and behind the times with what I think is a revelation. But I’ve just heard this song (Sheeran’s) in full for the first time and wondered whether it took a sample from “Movin too fast” but Google brings up nothing so I don’t think it was on purpose. I think the chorus sounds very similar almost to the point of copyright. Do you?

Well he’s got form with this sort of thing. I agree there are similarities.

What's the problem with that? I don't get it, you always hear bereaved people say that they smell the bed and clothes to remind them of the person who has died. Your wear perfume for the same reason surely

Lots of songs my lots of people sound very similar to each other though. Scott Mills onR1 sometimes does a segment of his show on it.

I suppose that if one musician thinks a certain combination of notes is pleasing, so will others.

00:39 on the first vid and 00:29 on the second vid sounds the same to me ¯\(ツ)/¯
