I thought Big Bird had been providing propaganda to children since 1969 -- maybe until the vaccine it was simply propaganda Ted Cruz and co approved of, like encouraging kids not to gorge on sweets, and saying things like "Asking questions is a good way of finding things out!" and "I guess it's better to be who you are. Turns out people like you best that way, anyway", and teaching about the acceptance of death when Mr Hooper died. Also numbers and letters and so forth. All fine until he mentioned something everyone knows about anyway. Bad Bird.

Thanks for the new thread! And (IMHO) the move away from having any reference to Doofus in the title. It's a sign that we (and so many others) have moved away from him being so 'visible' in our day to day lives. Time enough to return to that scenario if he decides to run in 2024.

My DC grew up with the whole Sesame Street crew. They taught them so many lessons about life, living, and love. And smoothed the way for us to have 'difficult' conversations.

DS2 always referred to the show as "Says-me Street".
