She's just gone mental about the phone bill Apparently I'm not allowed to speak to my best friend on the phone for an hour after school!?? I'm sick of her controlling me!!

You are lucky. We didn't even have a phone until I left home. I had to walk to my friends houses to speak to them!

Can’t she get the bt friends and family deal and add your BF’s number! So unreasonable, so what if you’re been at school together all day

Be thankful you even have a phone! My parents are fossils who STILL refuse to get one in the year 1980.

I rang a chat line from seventeen magazine it was fab but then phone bill arrived....

Phone now has a lock.

It’s her fault. In the 80s the only phone in the house would have been in the hall, so she’d have known exactly how long you were on the phone for (and what you were saying) and should have nipped it in the bud sooner.

The phone lock has been installed by my Dad so I can't even ring anybody and it's so unfair!!!

OP, the problem is that you're friends with the wrong people. You need to be friends with me, because my dad's company pays all the phone bills so I can ring whoever I like for as long as I like, and before 6 o'clock, too.

But they don't know I can Jimmy it open and keep reusing the same 20p coin😝

You could get round the phone lock by jiggling the cradle to dial the number....

Does you mum not have one of those locks on the phone that stops you dealing?

Your friend’s parents have put a lock on their phone with the key in an envelope for emergencies. 😂The phone bill is scrutinised and they’re summoned for investigation if any expensive calls crop up.
