To hate snogging

Inspired by a thread I've just seen, it's got me curious about my dislike and wondered if anyone felt the same.

I hate snogging. It's the tongue. I don't want you to lick my tongue. I do not want to lick your tongue. Ok, that's a bit black and white and it's not quite "licking", but you get my drift. If I've cleaned my teeth within the last half an hour, and so have you, I could probably bear it for a few seconds. If not, yuck.

I've just eaten BBQ crisps. Why would anyone lick my tongue? It just grosses me out so much. I wouldn't lick your teeth throughout the day,
so why is licking your tongue any more acceptable.

DH gets quite miffed that I won't snog him. I just can't bear the thought of a tongue in my mouth. He thinks I'm not normal.

I appreciate I probably sound a bit weird. Does anyone else hate it?

I only seem to enjoy this with a brand new partner and then I start to find it icky. Poor husband.

I love a good snog. I think it brings DH and me a lot closer and allows us to focus on each other. Plus he’s a really good kisser 😘

Don't like it with tongues. Never have. I have to say though with DH and previous partners I've not had to deal with it. Usually because any attempt results in me pulling away, then going back in and taking the lead on how I like it instead, rinse and repeat until they got the message

I quite like it, but I cannot bear seeing or hearing other people doing it. Especially on the telly. It sound like when my dog licks her fanny 🤢

I think covid has made be a bit repulsed about willingly exchanging bodily fluids with anyone.

Well obviously I only like it with people who are good at it! Anyone who isn’t a good kisser would be phased out tbh. DH and I still kiss a lot and I love it. Might plan a session tonight...

I like kissing but not with tongues, unless I’m feeling properly turned on and Initiated it myself. I’ve never forgotten seeing an actress on the telly going in for a kiss with her tongue already out. So gross.

YANBU I like closed mouth kisses and kisses on the neck and cheek. But not open-mouthed tongue-in-mouth.

@Josette77 Kiss during sex, absolutely. On the lips, neck (nothing nicer than kisses up and down the neck), cheek etc. But not with tongue in my mouth.

Gentle kisses, tongues included, is a massive turn on. But not half way down my throat.

It can feel a bit suffocating. My nan always used to have a thing about cats around babies, said the cat would lie on the baby's face and steal it's breath, and that's what I can't stop thinking about when DH is trying to snog, that's he's stealing all my breath.

I hate it. One tongue per mouth is my maximum. I don't want a pair of slugs wrestling in my throat thank you very much. Just the thought of it makes me feel physically sick.

This thread reminds me of my first bf when I was 14, who snogged like an industrial washing machine. Now there's a memory I could live without - and I've certainly no desire to engage in any live action replays!

(Fortunately, I've since discovered his technique isn't universal )

I agree with you OP, it's disgusting. Although it's not just snogging that disgusts me, I don't particularly like kissing at all.
I do think about the germ aspects of it while kissing so that just puts me off further.

My first proper kiss was of the industrial washing machine variety, which made me feel sick. My ex husband was a dreadful kisser - big fat lips and it felt slobbery. That was a huge turn off. Not sure if that's why I just don't like it.
My DP doesn't really mention the fact I rarely kiss him. I know he's noticed, but hopefully it doesn't bother him too much.

I'm.not sure exactly what I do while snogging, but pretty sure there is no tongue licking
