How strong are Wetherspoons cocktail pitchers?

Sorry posting here for traffic. Going out for cocktails and the pitchers have 4 shots of spirit in them. If we drank 1 pitcher each we wouldn't be drunk would we? I try to avoid getting too inebriated! Thanks

4 shots is about 4 units, so same as a couple of big glasses of wine or a couple of pints of beer I'd have thought.

The pitchers are meant to be a few drinks if I remember rightly, so long drinks, diluted and not overly strong.

Maybe have a bigger effect on someone who doesn't normally drink but for the average drinker it's unlikely to make you more than a bit tipsy.

A lot of 'proper' cocktails can have a couple of shots or more in just one glass!

They aren't real cocktails they're pre mixed aodt drink with a couple of shots chucked in

Take her for a nice cocktail somewhere. Not a spoons if it's a special occasion. Get her a porn star

I had approximately 8 or 9 'large' ones and a glass or two of wine in the space of a day last week. 20+ shots? I won't do that again in a hurry.

They sound terrible! I’d expect at least 4 measures in a single cocktail!

That's about one unit a glass. Wine can have 3. Even when I've not been drinking I'd struggle to get drunk on that

4 shots in the equivalent of two pints full of liquid/ice (if they run out of pitcher jugs they sometimes have to serve in two pint glasses)
Most of them are not that strong as they contain spirits like Corky's/Sourz/Morgan's Tiki which are around 15-20%

Can you not get 2 pitchers (to share) and then another 2 depending on how you feel?

They do but you have to go up 3 flights of stairs, down 2, through the crystal maze and then complete a series of krypton factor challenges before you reach them

Even if it is four 25 measure it depends how much liquid and ice is on there, having had a proper strong cocktail Vs spoons they aren't that strong.

How much are these pitchers then - surely they're not charging the same as strong 'real' cocktails?

Their pitchers are cheap for a reason- I hadn't realised how little alcohol they contain though. Pre lockdown 2 friends and I shared one and I just ended up feeling sick with raging heartburn from too much mango juice. No alcohol effect whatsoever To be fair you can get a double G&T there for £3.99 so I'd leave off their cocktails - go elsewhere for that-most 'proper' cocktails have 2-3 shots in and taste way better!
