I have an appointment next week at the breast clinic due to a suspected lump and freaking myself out by overthinking and overworrying. My left breast has always been bigger than the other, but now with obsessively checking and poking I'm second guessing myself about everything. I'm questioning whether it always been like this.... how common is it to have them so visibly different, etc. Sad

Yes by quite a bit.

I also have the breast clinic coming up this week so I understand the worry.

I've been before for similar to what you are describing and all was ok, was just hormonal.

Elieza · 26/10/2021 18:36

I’m a cup size different.

And my feet are half a shoe size different.

One of my eyes is also slightly bigger than the other.

Size differences are fine. Changes should be investigated.

Did you have a covid jab recently? That can cause a reaction in your glands. Breasts have glands. It could be that. Or cysts. Very common and painful. But you have to get checked so they’ll check you out.

Mummyexpat · 26/10/2021 19:18

Yes, my right is bigger than my left! Only noticeable to me I think…husband says he’s never noticed! 🤣 Definitely became more pronounced after breastfeeding, my DS favoured the right side.

TwentinQuarantino · 26/10/2021 19:18

@LadyCleathStuart I hope the appointment goes well for you. I keep reminding myself that the chance of it being anything sinister is slim.

@Elieza yes, I've had both jabs. Had my second covid vaccine in July though, so that was a few months ago. Wouldn't any reaction have settled by now? Could be a cyst but it's not terribly painful, just slightly tender.

Yep, always been a bit lopsided, but really noticeable after breastfeeding second child.

TheGoogleMum · 26/10/2021 19:47

I've heard most women have one bigger than the other (mine are pretty similar though!)

TakeMe2Insanity · 26/10/2021 19:53

Yes but since my breasts came in, one has always been bigger than the other.

Elieza · 26/10/2021 19:55

OP if your jab was July it’s not that.

Could be anything. Be good to get checked out and reassurance though.

SpringsBack · 26/10/2021 20:44

Yes, one is a cup size smaller than the other. I can see the size difference when I look at myself in the mirror (wearing clothes) though I doubt anyone else would notice/care.

GP told me they're sisters not twins 😀

Hope your appointment goes well Flowers

FindingMeno · 26/10/2021 20:46

I thought it was normal, just like one foot being bigger than the other.

Lizzy1980 · 26/10/2021 20:49

So are you a Mighty Righty or a Hefty Lefty???

thepastisanothercountry · 26/10/2021 20:55

Yes - my bra fits well on one side and has space to spare on the other. If I lean forward, its very noticable.

santabetterwashhishands · 26/10/2021 20:57

Not noticeable but apparently everyone has different sizes

jcyclops · 26/10/2021 23:23

Everyone has different sized breasts... or is that just bollocks?

DontWannaBeObamasElf · 26/10/2021 23:30

I had a hamartoma removed a few years back that made my boob grow 3 cup sizes larger than the other.

sbhydrogen · 26/10/2021 23:39

My left breast is two cup sizes bigger than my right!
