Not long in from the school run.

Have made myself a lovely big bowl of super spicy noodles with a side order of white bread buttered with mayo.....

Its 930am. The guilt.... AIBU????

Sounds good but I don't think I could eat that at 9.30 in the morning though - plus my noodle of choice would be BBQ beef...with added BBQ sauce

FluffEverywhere · 21/10/2021 09:47

Absolutely YANBU!

Sometimes a morning savoury snack is what the day needs! Enjoy!

Yamaya · 21/10/2021 09:49

Sounds delicious. I had to have a sausage roll with some brown sauce on. I was awake 3 hours in the night with my youngest though, and feel hungover today even though I haven't drank a drop for nearly a week. I also have the guilt though. So annoying.

PurpleDaisies · 21/10/2021 09:49

As long as you’re not doing it regularly, don’t feel guilty. I had lunch at 11am yesterday because I was hungry.

TurnUpTurnip · 21/10/2021 09:52

Sounds good to me!

Footprintsonthemoon1 · 21/10/2021 09:53

I don't think I could manage it at 930 but I'm so snotty and full of cold spicy noodles would probably do me the world of good. Yanbu

@PurpleDaisies

Why would OP feel guilty? Yes it's a carby breakfast but not any less healthy than cereal/toast or other more usual breakfast carbs
PurpleDaisies · 21/10/2021 09:55

Why would OP feel guilty?

The op literally says she is feeling guilty in her opening post.

SummerOfComedy · 21/10/2021 09:55

I'm with you all the way!
I love noodles. Used to get packs of ten from Farmfoods, then they stopped doing them. So easy to make, easy to eat and delicious.
They were my go to afternoon snack while the kids were at school. Lovely!

HairyFanjoBanjo · 21/10/2021 09:55

Why would you feel guilty for eating?

Bluntness100 · 21/10/2021 09:57

Why do you feel guilty? Do you have a weight issue or are you supposed to be dieting?

UselessASD · 21/10/2021 10:00

Just looked and Myanmar has a traditional noodle dish for breakfast called Mohinga. as far As health is concerned I suppose it depends what else you eat today.

ODFOgrinch · 21/10/2021 10:04

Noodles for breakfast is completely normal across a large part of the world. Pho is a breakfast food in Vietnam but we eat It at the pub: bonkers to have something so watery with a pint of beer!

The buttered bread on the side...not to much, but I'm sure it was delicious!

1Week · 21/10/2021 10:06

I love yesterdays leftovers for breakfast, or more accurately brunch .

Yesterdays curry is the best though not everyone agrees

Gin4thewin4 · 21/10/2021 10:06

The guilt of carb overload at 930am probably. Oh and I don't usually eat in the morning, I usually start at lunch as I don't normally feel hungry until then.
Although I really did enjoy them 🤤

Footprints... i have had the cold for a week now! Maybe thats where the craving of spice came from!!

Food of the Gods right there
If you want it, eat it
You don't have to feel guilty about it

Gin4thewin4 · 21/10/2021 10:07

1week

Left over chinese is a fav for me.
And i agree, curry is ALWAYS better the next day

Sparklfairy · 21/10/2021 10:08

I'm about to have leftover mashed potato, and going to add some chopped bacon to it and maybe some cheese...

Gin4thewin4 · 21/10/2021 10:11

Sounds delicious and I feel better knowing its not just me indulging, enjoy Grin

I’m in from the school run, have my 7mo who did not sleep well last night currently napping in the sling, and I was considering putting a pizza in the oven Grin

Sparklfairy · 21/10/2021 10:21

@Gin4thewin4 no guilt here whatsoever Grin so YABU! Sort it out Grin

WaltzingBetty · 21/10/2021 10:28

@PurpleDaisies

Why would OP feel guilty?

The op literally says she is feeling guilty in her opening post.

But you said as long as she's not doing it regularly she shouldn't feel guilty Which implies that regular noodle-eating for breakfast IS something to feel guilty about

That's what's confused me. Noodles for breakfast are totally normally in many countries. Should Vietnamese feel guilty for their regular noodle-eating at breakfast time?

SomethingNastyInTheBallPool · 21/10/2021 10:33

YANBU. When I lived in Hong Kong I often started the day with a bowl of fried noodles. Delicious.

Gin4thewin4 · 21/10/2021 10:39

@CallMeRisley

DO IT

Iamnotminterested · 21/10/2021 10:40

Surely your bread is mayoed with mayo?

I eat random shit at any hour of the day, go for it OP.
