Has he taken any antihistamines? Might be worth a trip to the chemist tomorrow

sparepantsandtoothbrush · 18/10/2021 20:04

Are any of them blistering? May be shingles?

Redskyatmorn · 18/10/2021 20:08

@LIZS We wondered that but hasn’t eaten or used anything different

OP posts:
Redskyatmorn · 18/10/2021 20:09

@sparepantsandtoothbrush A couple look blistered, like shiny? But he doesn’t feel ill at all? Just annoyed by them all

OP posts:
Redskyatmorn · 18/10/2021 20:09

@sparepantsandtoothbrush I have some, do you think he should take one?

OP posts:
TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 18/10/2021 20:10

I think it may be a 3D 'join the dots' sort of thing. Have you tried that? Without seeing his whole limb and torso it is difficult to say but it could it be a picture of a Panda Chewing on some Bamboo.?

Redskyatmorn · 18/10/2021 20:12

@TwoLeftSocksWithHoles Funny.

Yes I'd take one to see if it helps with the itching at least. If they're blistering I'd definitely go with shingles but I'm not a health professional!

Redskyatmorn · 18/10/2021 20:12

@fantasmasgoria1 Not sure, he’s not ill though 🤷🏻‍♀️

OP posts:
WhoWants2Know · 18/10/2021 20:14

You need to get them looked at, to be honest. It could be a reaction to something he's touched or eaten or it could be something viral like shingles.

Redskyatmorn · 18/10/2021 20:15

@WhoWants2Know Is shingles dangerous?

OP posts:
LIZS · 18/10/2021 20:17

Shingles tends to form in a pattern like a band following the route of a nerve

knittingaddict · 18/10/2021 20:18

@sparepantsandtoothbrush

Bed bugs?
That was my guess too.
bizarrustii · 18/10/2021 20:20

Shingles can be contagious when the vesicles are fluid filled. Particularly to people who have not had chicken pox. (Same virus -Herpes Zoster).
It can also be accompanied by severe pain. He needs to contact his GP first thing tomorrow and maybe also think of emailing that photo to your GP tonight. Take the antihistamines in the meantime.

TheSpottedZebra · 18/10/2021 20:24

Shingles are normally on one half of the body - ie the left or the right half. Are these?

dingit · 18/10/2021 20:26

Chicken pox

TheVolturi · 18/10/2021 20:29

If they have a slight head on them like a blister type thing, could be chicken pox or Hand Foot and Mouth. Chicken pox usually you are unwell a week or so before the spots, but are fine when the spots come. Hfm you get a fever and feel generally crap for a couple days, then the spots come. But you can get the spots with no other issues. Dh currently is covered in hfm that the kids kindly shared with him. He's not been unwell but he looks like he's got the plague. And so itchy.

chelle862 · 18/10/2021 20:29

Hand foot and mouth? It's doing the rounds!

UmbilicusProfundus · 18/10/2021 20:36

Well it really looks like molluscum to me (which can be itchy and can also spread quickly).

Clearly I am just shamelessly posting for the diagnostic update.

IdLoveToButCantBeArsed · 18/10/2021 20:38

I'd say chicken pox, none of my felt ill with it, just horrible itchy spots that looked just like that!

Redskyatmorn · 18/10/2021 20:38

@TheSpottedZebra He has mostly on the left leg and the right side of stomach/side of body 🤷🏻‍♀️

OP posts:
Redskyatmorn · 18/10/2021 20:40

Gosh, unsure about chicken pox but god knows! It’s a real mystery

OP posts:
Redskyatmorn · 18/10/2021 20:42

He says they don’t turn white when he presses. He thinks is mozzie bites but he’s having a v bad reaction to them for some reason. It doesn’t make sense though as we’d all be covered too..there are so so many

OP posts:
Inthesameboatatmo · 18/10/2021 20:47

It does look like molluscum.
But I have to say I've never heard of it and the full name sounds like something out of Harry Potter.
Your poor dh hope it clears up soon op.

ofwarren · 18/10/2021 20:50

It does look like molluscum but I didn't think molluscum was ever itchy like a pp said?
How strange!
