@Sharkfinsoup I don’t think so as it’s not in the places described? Tops of hands and feet etc 🤷🏻‍♀️We’re at a loss

Both my DCs had molluscum. They usually appear on stomach.and arms. Quite contagious. Takes ages to get rid of them (one DC took 9 ish months to go! Other DC over a year!) I'd see what the doc says if you r not convinced it's just molluscum, just to rule.out anything more serious

Redskyatmorn · 18/10/2021 23:54

@SwimStressNameChange Like what though?

I would get a proper medical opinion OP. Hope you get an answer!

Notimeforaname · 19/10/2021 00:43

The Internet isnt going to be able to tell you what it is. But he should make an appointment with the doctor anyway or ask a pharmacist in the morning. You can just show them a photo?

Notimeforaname · 19/10/2021 00:44

If he is feeling fine in himself,no need to panic. Revisit it in the morning.

Flamingoyo · 19/10/2021 01:26

Like a previous pp I'd say molluscum but they weren't itchy when my kids had them. The dot is the thing that indicated molluscum but obviously get it checked by a doctor. My kids both had these and the medical advice tends to be that you should wait for the immune system to get rid. It was a very long wait for us and when they were spreading towards my daughter's face we started trying treatment. The thing that worked for us almost instantly (and apparently doesn't work for everyone) was a treatment called Zymaderm which is a liquid you dab on. It made the spots scab up (sorry a bit gross) and then disappear within a couple of weeks but we saw an almost immediate change once we started using this. I was glad we gave up waiting for them to go away without treatment. Hopefully doc can diagnose promptly.

Looks like either bites (mosquitoes or bed bugs) or a reaction to laundry detergent?

RiojaRose · 19/10/2021 02:45

Has he had antibiotics in the last week or so? If he has, try antihistamines.

AliTheMinx · 19/10/2021 02:46

My son had molloscum. GP said it would take months to go away. I smothered the spots in Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream (miracle stuff!) every night after I bathed him and it totally cleared up within a week. I couldn't believe it and would highly recommend the cream.

BluebellsGreenbells · 19/10/2021 02:58

It isn’t that you haven’t been bitten - it’s that you haven’t reacted to the bite

Sharkfinsoup · 19/10/2021 06:38

Sorry - have no other ideas but they really look like target lesions. I am not a dermatologist/GP sorry. If it’s still bothering him see the GP today.

secretbookcase · 19/10/2021 07:52

Looks like hives to me. Has he had a reaction to something he's eaten or touched? New clothes or bedding, new soap pwder or shower gel?

Deathraystare · 19/10/2021 08:22

Bed bugs?

I thought that!

Redskyatmorn · 19/10/2021 09:13

@Sharkfinsoup What are target lesions?
