Why are some people so horrible?

Waiting for a parking space in local forest car park. There aren't many, it's always busy at weekend.

I'd been waiting with two young kids in the car about 10mins. Black BMW also waiting although he'd only just arrived.

Man returns to car, reverses out, BMW zooms into space before I can. He could see I was waiting it was done quite aggressively.

I got out and said excuse me I've been waiting longer. "So what" shrugged his shoulders. Woman he was with just laughed. Both fairly aggressive, I felt quite intimidated and then uncomfortable walking in the forest (once we finally got a space!) They then proceeded to wait for friends so it's not like they were in a hurry.

Yeah. I agree with previous posters, they're cunts. But looking a little deeper, I think that they felt compelled to act like that to feel better about themselves. "Snagged the parking spot first! Go Me!" In which case, how fucking miserable must they be in the first place?! I would pity them.

Just pity them, they got the parking space, but they have to spend the whole of their lives a) being awful and b) everyone knowing they're awful.

People like this have issues. I often shrug (with annoyance) and be thankful I don't have such issues that my life is validated by getting a space first or whatever.

Some people just are. Do you think it comes naturally to them or do they actually have to put the effort in to be horrible?

I would be too worried to do this in case the person waiting for the spot keyed my car while I was gone

You've mentioned the make of car is a BMW so that's going to spark some silly comments.

Couldn't have put it any better

I fell over in a shop this morning. I have MS and my balance is rubbish. My daughter helped me up but was upset (shes12) because a grown man thought it was hilarious and was laughing at me. Some people are just horrible. I don't know what enjoyment they get from other peoples upset. Says a lot about them doesn't it.

Agreed. They are just your standard garden variety cunts. The only positive to take from it is one day he’ll be old and someone will probably shove him out the way or walk past when he falls and then he’ll wonder what happened to common decency and community and he might have this nagging thought that he was also once quite the arsehole.
