I just want to wipe that smile off his face - (bbc news just now) as he speaks about the fuel shortages.

Suppose none of this affects him.

YANBU in thinking that he shouldn't grin, but the reality is that he just doesn't give a shit.

FourLaneEnds · 02/10/2021 22:30

I want to shout "it is not funny'.

OP posts:
AlexaShutUp · 02/10/2021 22:40

Yeah, but it's all a big game to him, it always has been. He really doesn't give a toss about any of it, he just wants to keep playing.

AGreenerShadeofKale · 02/10/2021 22:44

He's an idiot. 🤷

monkeysox · 02/10/2021 22:45

Yanbu he's a cunt

Exactly this.

He doesn't want the job, he wants the title.
Let's be honest, he probably can't believe he is still there, topping the polls after being such a dangerously incapable leader, he probably finishes every day finding it hilarious.

VladmirsPoutine · 02/10/2021 22:55

It strikes me as odd, or perhaps it's just my own echo chambers, but everyone seems to think he's a clown, not serious, playing a game and so forth but according to the latest poll the tories are still polling highly. So quite a lot of people seem to quite like his grinning in the face of utter catastrophe.

LukeEvansWife · 02/10/2021 22:56

And his mad fucking hair. It just seems disrespectful

FourLaneEnds · 02/10/2021 22:59

I worked with kids who did this, an innate grin, that I had to learn to ignore. They couldn't help it, given their emotional immaturity.

But this is supposed to be the leader of our country.

OP posts:
KikoLemons · 02/10/2021 23:00

I thought exactly that OP! I watched that news and he seemed to be having a great time! In the meantime so many people seriously struggling.

Oh no, he's no clown, he has spent decades perfecting his act of the buffoon, he's far from it from a PR point of view, he knows how to influence people.

What he doesn't know is how to do the job of prime minister or how to lead. He has always wanted the title of his jobs which he has been incapable of actually doing.

I think it shows how low our standards have dropped whereby a prime minister can fail on such a catastrophic level and still be ahead on the polls, it scares me of how low people's standards have dropped for themselves.

KikoLemons · 02/10/2021 23:06

But there's no viable opposition - that's the problem. (There's a good thread on here about KS and the Labour party).

How can I vote for them (Lab) at the moment? What is their plan for the country? And what's happened to the Lib Dems? I was soooo hopeful. I had a Lib Dem MP for long time.

So what are people expected to say when asked in the polls? Stick with what we have?? At least they are doing something?? It should be like taking candy from a baby to oust the Tories...

Doingtheboxerbeat · 02/10/2021 23:08

Never has the way a person looks or speaks, inspire anger in me as much as his does.

Mummadeze · 02/10/2021 23:11

I literally cannot watch him. Too infuriating

thinkbiglittleone · 02/10/2021 23:12

So what are people expected to say when asked in the polls?

That the torques have failed massively and I don't want them to run my country so I won't vote for them.

Stick with what we have?? At least they are doing something??

What have they done that makes you proud to say you voted them in ?

It should be like taking candy from a baby to oust the Tories...

Yes it should be, people should look at how they have treated it's people and decide they want better, decide that they won't allow it to continue and to stop blaming other people for how they cast their vote. Only vote the tories in if you want them to run the country, not because you "can't vote labour" it's a cop out.

WeasilyPleased · 02/10/2021 23:13

I can't look at him anymore. He's a duplicitous unscrupulous dick.

thinkbiglittleone · 02/10/2021 23:14

Not Torques.... tories , sorry

thinkbiglittleone · 02/10/2021 23:16

@KikoLemons sorry Stick with what we have?? At least they are doing something??

What exactly are they doing,? What is the something they are doing you are proud of ATM

TheHouseILiveIn · 02/10/2021 23:21

Ive never had a reaction to any other Tory leader, but just looking at him and his cabinet makes my blood boil.

Mammyloveswine · 02/10/2021 23:31

I am still horrified Boris Johnson is our pm

kieronsmum · 02/10/2021 23:37

H G Tudor on youtube has some interesting videos on the prime minister

First of all polls aren't essays. They usually ask Yes/No or ABCD questions.

Secondly I think most people are fairly apathetic - hence my "stick with what we have" interpretation. (I think people have an "all as bad as each other" view very often). If we had a credible opposition I think people would be galvanised.

Thirdly I did not vote for them and if you read my post I'm giving a possible explanation for the pp's questions about why the Tories are still in power. I'm NOT saying that's what I think.

And in the end we have to choose - or simply not vote. And if the choices are all shit some people do choose not to vote but many will go for the least worst option.

Thekolschisonme · 03/10/2021 00:19

Why is the opposition not viable ? I keep on hearing this but no one seems to give a reason apart from self ID stuff and cervixgate.

thinkbiglittleone · 03/10/2021 00:23

First of all polls aren't essays. They usually ask Yes/No or ABCD questions

So the answer should be No, to voting for the tories unless you think they are capable and want them to run our country. Because if you vote for them, you are putting them in the seat and responsible for that outcome .

I think most people are fairly apathetic - hence my "stick with what we have" interpretation. (I think people have an "all as bad as each other" view very often). If we had a credible opposition I think people would be galvanised

If people aren't galvanised at how this country is being run country I'm not sure what else will do that, I am shocked..

Thirdly I did not vote for them and if you read my post I'm giving a possible explanation for the pp's questions about why the Tories are still in power. I'm NOT saying that's what I think

I am giving a response to what you are saying, if you don't think or agree with what you are writing and its a possibility of what people may think then that's who my response is aimed at.

And in the end we have to choose - or simply not vote. And if the choices are all shit some people do choose not to vote but many will go for the least worst option

But I'm not sure who still think Boris Jonson is the least worse option, out of all the parties, how can they look at this country and still believe he is best placed to run it. And don't vote for him just because "labour doesn't represent you" or other such statements people tripe out, it's infuriating and part of the problem.

DragonDoor · 03/10/2021 00:28

I really don’t get how it’s THIS issue that has made you realise the Tory party and their leader don’t give a shit about how things affect people.

Is this perhaps the first time you have personally been inconvenienced OP?
