Too old for trick or treating?

How old is too old?

For context, where we live is a lovely place for trick or treating- people put pumpkins out and decorate their houses if they want visitors and, afaik, no tricks go on at all.

Am 48, kids grown and find me embarrassing but I still dress up for the kids coming round even tho we don't trick or treat any more.. I will never be too old for something that makes me happy

I live in London and we are known locally for Halloween, my kids don't go out but stay home and we get groups regularly and have done since before they were born. Any kids/ teenagers/ passers by are welcome to come, we stand outside in the front garden on a busy road so last year my kids had a bowl of bought wrapped treats offered to anyone who passed and were handed over via oven tonges so Covid compliant. I suppose it's ok for us because we're not worried about groups of teens coming, I'm just as happy alone as I am with my DH home to tell them to fuck off if they're not dressed up or aggressive or whatever but we've never had that at all. People don't knock for us though, I remove the pumpkins and lock the front gate once we're done.
