Because they gang up in you to make life difficult.

I’ve cleared a lot of clothes out, and have hangers left over that l want to keep. Htf do you store them. Pull one out, and all it’s evil mates come with it.

Hanging stuff up, ones falls off, then another, this makes another fall off which then fucking breaks😡

And of course, all the clothes fall off.

I suffer from coathanger rage. It's the plastic bastard ones. Sainsbury's are doing wooden ones on sale atm so I bought a load of those and it has alleviated my symptoms (somewhat) 😂

Frazzledd · 06/09/2021 11:27

Selective cull the bastards! If it's got a chip or even looks at you the wrong way, destroy!....and do it infront of the others, its the only way this works 💪

Mrsjayy · 06/09/2021 11:31

I have a clothes rail instead of a wardrobe. Last week I pulled the whole thing down on top of me because of a bloody stuck coat hanger It could have been death by coat hanger! Bustard things

Laaaaa · 06/09/2021 11:32

I got all wooden hangers from IKEA and do the ring pull hack. Game changer

InsanityOf2020 · 06/09/2021 11:39

I have flock-esq coathangers - sounds rubbish but bear with me, theyre actually grippy so nothing slides off, trouble is they have a hook thing on the side below the hanging hook if you follow .... SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED TO JOIN THEM TOGETHER - now they all come out together all smug like because they think they can, but at least they still have clothes attached HmmGrin

CheerfulBunny · 06/09/2021 11:50

Argh, yes! Hangers are the devil's work. Grrr to poking hangers into the necks of other things when I put them on the rail. That might be my fault though...
I have the wooden hangers as well but the grippy skirt/bulldog clip ones are crap. They wait until I've maneuvered the loaded hanger into the wardrobe and then - let go!

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 06/09/2021 12:16

Yes, l like the flock covered ones best. Still evil though.

Honestly it's a conspiracy, between the hangers and tangled wires, honestly makes me want to scream.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 06/09/2021 13:40

Those fucking big bastards though with the enhanced shoulders, they take up so much space, the wire ones must be pretty resentful.

RhodaDendron · 06/09/2021 14:06

Evil fuckers. Hate it when they randomly club together in pairs, tangle together and insert themselves into the shoulder of a top and the dress behind it, how do they even do that.

Walkingalot · 06/09/2021 14:12

I think I need a coat hanger sheep dog. When I want one, they hide up. I find them all over the house. So time consuming.

Rupertpenrysmistress · 06/09/2021 14:14

This thread has cheered me up. I have had some awful fights with the hooky evils. It's usually split though, I end up injured and they end up snapped.

Gingernaut · 06/09/2021 14:15

I've got a variety of different hangers and they are all bastards in their own special way.

Flock covered plastic = static

Silicone rubberised metal hangers (so nothing falls off) = will bump and grind against any other surface or clothes and try to drag them with it

Wire coat hangers from the dry cleaners - cheap, skinny and prone to deforming knitwear

They've got to go everywhere together. One one come with you unless his mate comes too. They even fall in pairs making twice as much noise when you drop them.

campion · 06/09/2021 14:22

And why are there never enough hangers after you've washed the clothes that were hanging on them? You go to put them back and hangers have vanished!
Or is that just me?

MerryHellbreakingloose · 06/09/2021 14:24

Take one coat hanger out. Snap the fucker in front of the other fuckers. Show those fuckers who is boss!

the80sweregreat · 06/09/2021 14:25

I hate the metal or plastic ones.
They really are 🦹‍♀️

the80sweregreat · 06/09/2021 14:26

Hangers love hanging out together: they love to overlap each other and won't let go :(

MrsMoastyToasty · 06/09/2021 14:27

They are in league with the Plastic Container Avalanche Cupboard of Doom!

Bambooshoot · 06/09/2021 14:54

I have them - I take great pleasure in snapping off the hooks with a quick twist of a knife/scissor blade just to show them not to get any subversive ideas, they’re not the boss . . .
Unsuremover · 06/09/2021 14:58

I have a scar on my foot from when I made a stand against coat hangers. I yanked hard when one refused to let go and his metal mate came hard and fast onto my bare foot. For agony for months!
Now I’m their bitch so take clothes off in the wardrobe without removing their hanger. It’s quite shaming.

Movingsoon21 · 06/09/2021 16:05

I have found my people!! I HATE hangers with a passion! It’s like they actively attack me whenever I try to get anything from the wardrobe! Angry

Pushkinia · 06/09/2021 16:15

This thread is triggering me! 😂 My hangers hate me! I put a hand in the wardrobe - they bite me. If I try to take clothes off the hanger, they fight back and tie the clothes in knots. The plastic ones think I’m fat and therefore break if I put a skirt on it, the metal ones are like snakes and the clothes slither off!

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 06/09/2021 16:26

But they don’t let go when you do that. ConfusedThey’ve usually attached themselves to some gang member prior to you trying to remove your clothes from the cupboard
